A Message From Dr. Ematrudo

I wanted to inform you about an incident that took place today during a class in which your student may have been present.

A teacher experienced a medical event that caused them to pass out. As the teacher fell to the ground, their chin was struck causing a lot of blood. Students immediately called for help, staff responded immediately, and the situation was handled swiftly and with great care. The teacher was transported by ambulance for treatment.

The students who were present at the time were supervised and supported by our staff, including two school counselors, throughout the incident. We recognize that witnessing an event like this can be upsetting, and we are making every effort to provide emotional support to the students.

Please be assured that the teacher is receiving appropriate medical attention, and their well-being is our priority. We applaud our students for their bravery and quick reaction to getting help in an emergency.
