A message from Pastor Jeremy...
Have you ever typed in a web address and then waited, waited, and waited for the page to load? It can leave us feeling impatient, frustrated, and hitting the refresh button a few times to get the page to load. Being totally transparent, this is how I’ve been feeling as we’ve waited for God to bring us a new Worship Pastor. At times it seemed like the page wasn’t loading, however, God was working in the background! Even in the waiting God is working - for us individually, and for Trinity’s next Worship Pastor. I’m so excited to tell you that on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 we welcomed George Livings to Trinity as our Associate Pastor of Worship and Media! If you haven’t been able to connect with George or his wife Janeen, grab them and introduce yourself. Feel free to send him a note of encouragement and a promise to pray for him as he begins his ministry here at Trinity (George@tbapopka.org).
As we begin this new year, I wanted to tell you about a new class that will be available for anyone who wants to learn more about Trinity, called EXPLORE TRINITY. This class is similar the Pastor’s Breakfast we used to offer. The class will be offered once per quarter, and it is designed to give an overview of who Trinity is, what ministries we offer, where we’re going as a church and how you can get connected. It is designed for anyone who has been visiting Trinity and wants to know more - maybe that fits you! If you’re interested, CLICK HERE to let us know you're coming. The first class will be held on Sunday, February 23rd at 9:00am in the chapel. Pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee will be provided. I hope to see you there!
Much Love,
Jeremy Champion, Senior Pastor
Children's Ministry
As we all are aware that February is considered the month of LOVE. What a great opportunity to teach our children that as Christians we must show love to the ones who we feel maybe don't deserve it. Lead by example! Watch your conversations in front of them so they can see LOVE coming from you.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1John 4:7

Student Ministry
Hello from the Student Ministry! January has come and gone, kicking 2025 off with a bang! We took 17 students to Rock the Universe and have jumped headfirst into planning our Annual Golf Tournament and Summer Mission Trips! Our focus this year in the student ministry is to be intentional in seeing who God has created us to be, what He has for us to do, determining when to do what He’s called us to, identifying where God is moving, and finally understanding why a life lived for God is always worth it. Be praying for our students as we look for ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
A couple dates to know about:
- Wednesday Night Live: Every Wednesday night we meet from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Student Building for fun and worship!
- Sunday Bible Study: Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:00 am you can find us in the student building ready to hear from one of our awesome teachers how God has a plan for each one of us and what that might look like! We are about seeking God and encouraging one another!
- Sunday, February 2nd: Mission Trip Info meeting right after church in the student building to talk about two great opportunities for our students this summer (lunch provided). World Changers and Xtreme Summer! All info will be given on February 2nd, don’t miss out!!
- Friday, February 21st: Movie Night! Join us in the Student Building from 6:30-8:30 pm for ice cream sundaes and a movie! Wear your favorite (church appropriate) pjs and bring your pillow/blanket. Movie TBD!
February is sure to bring some new and exciting experiences- you won’t want to miss out! This is going to be GOOD!!
If you’d like to be a part of the OSM, know someone that should be involved, or if you have ideas/suggestions- don’t hesitate to reach out! Meme @ 618-709-0855 or tbcosm@gmail.com
As always, keep those prayers coming!
In service together for the Kingdom,

Senior Adult Ministry
We want to start out by saying "God is so God"! We have waited and prayed for the right person to fill our Worship Pastor position, and we are blessed to have Pastor George now on staff. Thank you, Randy, for leading our music for the past year, we are so grateful for your dedication. We are excited for a new season to see what God has planned for us. Thank you, Senior Adults, for being so faithful to our church. We know the church is not the building, but the people. Your dedication to Trinity is seen and felt.
Our next covered dish dinner is Monday, February 3 at 5:30 pm in the gym. Feel free to invite a friend that might not have a church home. We love you all and feel blessed to work beside you in the Senior Adult Ministry.
Keith and Denise Royston, Senior Adult Ministry Leaders

Early Childhood Education
We love watching your children grow!
This time of the school year is always one of my favorites. We started the school year with some literal infants and others are our little babies at heart. Now they are all blossoming and maturing in their own ways showing great signs of being prepared for their next step. By no means am I saying the school year is done, but it does bring me great joy to see our children growing!
Be on the lookout for communications from your child’s teacher:
- Valentine parties are coming up and we don’t want you to miss important information.
- Parents of VPK students: We are just wrapping up our mid- year assessments. Contact your child’ s teacher with any concerns you may have. Please remember, VPK attendance counts. Also, mark your calendars for VPK Graduation on Friday, May 23. More information will be coming soon.
- ECE and Extended Care will be closed Monday, February 17 for Presidents Day.
Thank you for the opportunity to love on your little ones!

Elementary
A new year brings a fresh start, grades start over, and new units of study begin. Mrs. Fontana’s class is starting to learn about plants. They will be observing the roots, stem, and flower. Then planting them to watch them grow! Second graders are reading the book Ira Sleeps Over. Each day they get to do fun activities that include making predictions, identifying rhyming words, and making connections from text to self. Third graders are busy practicing and memorizing their multiplication facts. They even taught me a trick for learning 8 X 7!
February’s character trait is gentleness. Gentleness means being tender and considerate in a way that makes a person feel cared for and valued. We all need to be gentle with our words and actions. We need to think before speaking to make sure that we are speaking the truth in love. Luke 6:31 says we should treat people the way we want to be treated. Our February students of the month will be recognized on Friday, February 28th in the Elementary Chapel. Students who have earned Student of the Month in December and January will join me on February 4th for our Pizza and Slurpee lunch! I always look forward to recognizing and celebrating students who are making good choices!
Mrs. Raeann Johnson, Elementary Principal
Secondary
Winter MAP testing concluded at the end of January. MAP scores provide our teachers with important data that allows them to target specific skills students need. The MAP measures student growth and drives the teachers’ instruction to move every student forward in their learning.
Visiting different colleges before selecting one is important to help students make an informed decision about where they will thrive during their college experience. This month, the high school students will be visiting the UCF campus for a tour. On Wednesday, February 12th, the high school students will have the opportunity to hear a 15-minute information session about the school, followed by a 90-minute walking tour of the campus led by a UCF student ambassador. The purpose of this trip is for the students to tour a large public college to determine if they like the feel of a larger college. A tour of a smaller private college will be planned at a later date. Visiting campuses of different sizes gives students more insight of what feels right for them and what aligns with their academic, social, spiritual, and personal goals.
We are enjoying the boys and girls basketball games with the addition of the TCS cheerleaders rallying the players and crowd. Spring sports information will be available soon. Let’s Go Warriors!
