Anti-Bias Training Rationale
Orinda Schools are dedicated to supporting Social Emotional Learning of students and teachers. One key area in reaching this goal is diversity and inclusion, as well as ensuring all students feel connected as valued members of their school community. To help us with this work, we are partnering with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in an anti-bias workshop. ADL has been a nationally recognized leader in supporting schools and other organizations in helping create a more safe and just society. The ADL team will be training staff at their sites on the morning of October 14th. Following the training there will also be a short time for staff to discuss their work and how it might be brought into our classrooms.
