Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,
This week we are so excited to welcome our families and caregiver in for our annual Curriculum Night! On Friday, we will also come together at Hardings Beach for our third annual Back to School Beach Party! Please see details about the events below and we hope to see you there!
Who: Curriculum Night is for parents or caregivers of students in grades 5, 6, and 7. While this is an event designed for adults, students may choose to attend with their family.
What: You will follow your child's (or one of your child's, if you have more than one in our middle school) schedule throughout their academic day.
Where: 425 Crowell Road, Chatham
When: 6-7:30 pm, Thursday, September 19
*Parents and caregivers of 5th-grade students: The NEED Academy (Truro Trip) will be hosting an informational session from 5:30-5:55 pm in the auditorium.
*Parents and caregivers of new or returning chorus members are invited to a chorus orientation at 5:30 in Ms. Sarah jane's room.
Why: We want you to be a part of your child's education. The success of your child is dependent on a strong relationship between our families and our school community.
The schedule is outlined below, but your child will bring home your personalized agenda on Thursday afternoon. Please bring this schedule with you on Curriculum Night as it will guide your movements that evening. All families will report to morning homeroom at 6pm to begin the evening.
See you there!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Pick Up Patrol Tips from Ms. Fisette: You will want to use Pick Up Patrol (PUP) if your student were going on a different bus to which they has been assigned (say to a friend's house) or if there is a CHANGE in their after school plans - ex. your child leaves the house in the morning thinking she is going to field hockey practice, but you need them to come home on the bus - you might then enter "Bus" into PUP and add a comment saying "take bus home, you have a dentist appointment". At the end of the day they will receive a small slip of paper notifying them of this CHANGE. It's like a messaging service for us at the middle school. Hope this helps!
Get Your Teeth Cleaned! Polished Dental, a portable dental program offering preventive services to all ages, will visit Monomoy Regional Middle School on October 29 and again in the spring. Sign-up packets have been sent home, and a link has been emailed for easy registration in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. If you need assistance with another language or have any questions, please contact our nurse at kmonteiro@monomoy.edu.
Late Bus Reminder: The MRMS Late Bus/Express Bus started last week. Please note that there is NO late bus on Early Release Wednesdays and Fridays. Click here for the schedule.
Thank You Amy: Monomoy Regional Middle School would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Amy Hohmann, part of A Cape Life Team at Today Real Estate for donating such wonderful school supplies. As a native to Cape Cod, Amy loves to reach out and give back to her community and we appreciate the help!
