Ask your parents to order your copy Ground Zero from Rakestraw Books HERE. They will be delivered to school.
But important lessons learned also include the prejudices that intensified after 9/11. Muslim Americans in our country today are still being treated unfairly because of those events and the ignorance that continues to spread.
Ask your parents and teachers to tell you their stories. Watch some videos, read some books. Teach yourself about this important day in American history. Ask questions. Be the Change.

Banned Books Week! Sept. 26-Oct. 2
Discover books that have been banned or challenged in the United States throughout the past century. Choose one to read this week and celebrate our freedom to read without censorship.
Books Unite Us. We need to read and talk with others about books that affect us especially those that make us think differently.
