Message from the Administration Team
Dear Families,
As we embark on another exciting school year, the Administration Team wants to warmly welcome all your students, parents, and community members. Whether you are new to our school or a returning family, we are thrilled to have you in our school community.
At Edmund W. Miles Middle School, we are dedicated to fostering a love of learning. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging environment where every student can thrive. Our passionate staff is always ready to help each child reach their full potential. We believe education is a partnership between the school, parents, and the community, and we want to express our deep gratitude for your continued support. You are an integral part of our school's success, and we are thrilled to have you as part of our community.
Communication is not just a part of our success, it's a cornerstone of our school's culture. We encourage you to stay connected with us throughout the year. Please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, our administrative team, or guidance counselors with questions, concerns, or ideas. We are here to listen and involve you in your child's education journey.
We are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us by entrusting us with your children's education and care. Together, we can make this school year a rewarding and successful experience for all.

Also, if you have not signed up for the parent portal on Infinite Campus, please contact the guidance department for assistance. The district is going paperless- report cards and progress reports will no longer be mailed home. We encourage you access the portal to obtain your child's academic reports.
Community Outreach
On Saturday, August 23 the Amityville Community planned a well attended and successful block party, at Bolden Mack Park. Over 800 backpacks were given away to our students, ensuring they are well prepared for the school year ahead. The event also included school supplies, food, music, raffles, face paining, a bouncy house and more.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated- whether you volunteered, donated, or attended with your families. A special thank you to members of the National Junior Honor Society and the Amityville Teacher Association, whose hard work and dedication made the day run smoothly. Your collective effort made this event not just possible but a memorable and impactful experience for all. We are proud to be part of such a supportive community.
We look forward to your continued support and participation in our future community events.
