Math Competitions
The Gifted Department supports students with three math competitions: AMC 8 & 10, Mathcounts, and Math League. There is a cost to compete: generally between $15-$40 per competition.
AMC (American Math Competition)--A test done at school. https://maa.org/student-programs/amc/. ALL STUDENTS
Mathcounts--Team event at a local location generally late winter. Four events per competition. https://www.mathcounts.org/programs/mathcounts-competition-series. MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY
Math League--Team event at a local location generally late winter. Four events per competition. https://www.mathleague.org/. ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS
Both Mathcounts and Math League do better if they have a coach. If you're interested in coaching or your child is interested in competing, please email me with the name of the competition and your child's name. (tracybednarick@lindberghschools.ws). We have an elementary Math League coach, but need a middle school Math League/Math Counts coach.
