Dear Bobcat Families,
Thank you to our wonderful PTA for our amazing Red Ribbon Week Assembly yesterday! Our students learned how to stay healthy with good choices for their mind, body and positive thoughts! PTA participation supported this fun event for our students! Additionally, in the spirit of our Team PLANO ISD theme, Plano Senior High choir students performed their Princess and Superhero songs for our students. We love promoting the amazing talent with our Plano students!
We are still helping our PTA fundraise for this year with our Pumpkin Contest. If you missed out on voting on our Family Pumpkins, check out our Beverly PTA website: https://beverlypta.membershiptoolkit.com/ Thank you to all families who participated and supported our PTA and voting will continue next week! Top three classes will win a great class prize!
Skyward Family Engagement Night
The district will be providing a series of informational meetings for parents about our new Skyward Student Information System. These meetings will provide an overview of Skyward and demonstrate how they can use Family Access to:
Check grades and report cards
Track attendance records
View test scores
Complete annual registration forms
Saturday, November 2
Time: 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Location: Clark High School
During each meeting, we will cover how to log into the system, navigate the Family Access portal and explore the various tools available to stay informed and engaged with their child's academic progress.
Question & Support Session:
Following the presentation, we will have Q&A stations where each department will have representatives available to engage on any questions regarding the topics.
Please make sure you have completed your Family Access with emergency contacts and you have answered questions about yearbook, publications, and social media. We would love to share student’s success or pictures as part of our Beverly social media posts and yearbook pictures. Additionally, family access will allow you to see your student’s report card or portofolio.
Don’t forget these dates/information:

Scripps National Spelling Bee
It’s Scripps National Spelling Bee time! Students in grades K - 5 are eligible to participate; however, there will be a qualifying round held in their classroom/grade to determine if they advance to the school bee. The classroom (or grade-level) bee will be held the week of November 4th. Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade parents/guardians must request their student participate in the qualifying round.
All grade levels will study the same list of words. The classroom lists will be made up of Level Two Bee study words for fourth and fifth grade. Students advancing to the school spelling bee will receive the 2025 School Spelling Bee Study List. Our school spelling bee will be held on Friday, December 6th. The winner from the school bee will represent Beverly at the district bee on Tuesday, January 7th.
If you have any questions regarding the spelling bee, you can contact whitney.truong@pisd.edu
Plano ISD A+ Academics
Plano ISD elementary schools will participate in A+ Academics during the 2024-2025 school year. The University Interscholastic League (UIL) created A+ Academics in 2008 to provide competitive academic opportunities to elementary and middle school students. A+ Academics events span the curriculum - they are designed to complement and expand upon what students learn in the classroom, both through learning specific subject knowledge and through learning skills that are valuable in many disciplines. I am Beverly’s A+ Academics sponsor and I am looking to recruit students and facilitate learning and practice sessions in preparation for a spring A+ Academics meet on Saturday, May 3rd at Shepton High School. Students will learn about the content for the event(s) they will compete in and prepare for the test(s) that they will take at the A+ Academics Meet.
Please click on the links below to access more information about each of the competition events and a sign up form if you would like your child to join an Academic team.
Please contact Alice Michael if you have any questions or concerns.
