English Learner Proficiency Assessment of California (ELPAC)
English Learner Proficiency Assessment of California (ELPAC)
Summative ELPAC testing started on February 3rd, 2025. All English Learners have or will take(n) their annual English proficiency exam called ELPAC. The testing window is Feb. 3-March 28. Students are tested in 4 domains (listening, speaking, reading and writing). The exam gives our teachers information regarding your student’s language acquisition in English.
Please remind your student to come to school well rested with a charged laptop ready to test. Students have been given a Google classroom where they can access practice tests and become familiar with the exam. Google Classroom Code: s4edrng
Feel free to reach out to our English Learner Resource Teacher, Michelle Williams mstinebaugh@sandi.net ext 2367 for more information.
Parent Notice Regarding the CA Assessment of Student Performance and Progress
Parent Notice Regarding the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
State Testing (CAASPP) will take place for all juniors at Lincoln between April 9th-April 23rd.
Please take a look at the Practice and Training Tests for Students you can use at home to familiarize yourself and your child with the content that will be covered in the assessment. More information will be provided to students in the coming months about where testing will occur on campus.
Taking the CAASPP provides benefits such as: gaining insights into a student's academic strengths and areas of need, informing instructional decisions at the school and classroom level, helping parents understand their child's progress, and providing data that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of our educational programs. It also allows students to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are important for college and career readiness, and can potentially be used for college admissions decisions in some cases. Additionally, a student’s CAASPP scores may contribute to them qualifying for the California Seal of Biliteracy.
If your child has an IEP or 504 and you have questions about the accommodations they receive for the exam, please reach out to their case manager (for IEPs) or their counselor (for 504s).
For any additional questions or concerns, please contact Launa Romanowsky at: lromanowsky@sandi.net.
