The Port Angeles School District is accepting applications for the 2024-25 Transition to Kindergarten (TKK) Program!!!

Transition to Kindergarten is a FREE program for children who are four years old by Aug. 31st, who have a need determined by assessment, and those who do not have access to early learning experiences prior to Kindergarten. Registration paperwork for children is available at all Port Angeles Elementary Schools and the District Building .

Huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff, volunteers, and community for making JFFA Kidsfest a fantastic success!

Over 3,000 students, staff, and families enjoyed an unforgettable event last Friday. Special thanks to Michell Gentry and our AmeriCorps members. We also want to thank the PAHS Key Club and Olympic Theatre Arts Center volunteers for their hard work.

A big shoutout to the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts for coordinating these incredible performances and to the Port Angeles Education Foundation for funding student transportation.

You all made Kidsfest unforgettable!

Join us on Thursday, June 6th at the Port Angeles High School Main Gymnasium (304 East Park Avenue) for a beautiful evening of music! The Port Angeles School District’s string students, from grades 4 to 12, will perform in this annual concert.

• First Show: 6:00 PM
• Second Show: 7:30 PM

This concert is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there for an evening of incredible music and talent!

PASD will offer summer school for all high school students needing to earn credits as a result of failing a course. Lincoln High School will provide summer school from June 25 - July 12. Students can earn credits in Algebra, Geometry, and online US History, Contemporary Issues, English and with online credit recovery.

Thank you to our friends at the Port Angeles Public Works department for coming out to teach our students more about the people and equipment who keep Port Angeles running. Students had an amazing time learning about these essential jobs which allow our community flourish.

Students and families packed the bleachers at PAHS recently for Freshman Welcome Night. Counselors shared important information about PAHS and families were able to meet and connect with school administrators.

PASD is happy to partner again with Lutheran Community Services to host the 16th Annual Port Angeles Back to School Fair!

When: Saturday, August 17, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Where: Jefferson Elementary (218 E. 12th St., Port Angeles

Students will receive: backpacks with supplies, healthcare and community resources, BBQ lunch, haircuts, and jackets, socks, and shoes.

We are thrilled to share that the Port Angeles School District has received the Best Communities for Music Education Award for the third consecutive year! This award honors the incredible efforts of our teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders who make music education an essential part of our school system. Sodexo and the PASD partnered recently to host family BBQs at multiple schools this spring. Families enjoyed the sunshine and joined their students for a picnic on the playground. Thank you Sodexo for helping our families connect and share a meal with our students and staff!
