ST. MARY PHOENIX NEWS
May 22, 2020
Mrs. Marvin's Corner
Today was a bittersweet day as it was our last day of the 2019-2020 school year. Summer is just around the corner and and we are actively planning the 2020-2021 school year no matter what the scenario will bring. Stay tuned for any new updates. Although instruction ended today, we are looking towards the future when we can all be in the building again safely. Thank you for all of your input on the Remote Learning Survey. Next week we will be meeting as teams to read your comments and talk about ways to streamline the process if at anytime we need to simultaneously teach remotely and in person. Teachers are looking at their classrooms and rearranging furniture to allow for social distancing. We are thankful that at this time our class sizes will allow for maintaining the 6 feet distance and we have the classroom space to be able to meet 5 days a week.
Thank You to the Parish for supporting the mission of our school. In response to the COVID-19 Crisis, tuition rates will remain the same as the 2019-2020 School Year. Please contact the school office if your family's financial situation has changed due to the crisis and you need assistance.
If you are interested in helping us plan for next year, I am creating a committee to look at the current recommendations for opening your school next year. Please email me at stm_lmarvin@tccsa.net. This working committee will be meeting in the summer and we will need a firm commitment as we proceed forward. Our mission is to create a collaborative return plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Thank you in advance for your commitment to our school.
Thank You Mrs. Rogers For The Last Two Years! We Wish You Well In Your New Journey to Baltimore

St. Mary School Information
Since 1865, people have known St. Mary School students by their actions. This is because throughout our history, we have focused on building student’s character, based on the values instilled by the Catholic Faith, and a foundation of academic excellence.
St. Mary School provides a welcoming environment where families have the freedom to celebrate the faith. In a world of need, responsibility matters and strength is needed to serve our communities. It is our mission to develop students who have the ability to be mentors and leaders in the world. We recognize that each student is a unique gift from God and we individualize instruction to help them reach their full potential. We strive to promote an atmosphere that encourages a love of learning and provides children with a foundation of faith to balance and guide them for the rest of their lives.
