7th grade Social Studies
This week in Mrs. Bower’s World History, students worked to design and create their very own Byzantine style mosaics.
7th grade Social Studies
These mosaics, made from small pieces of colored paper, showcase intricate craftsmanship and required students to design and measure strategically. Mosaics depicted emperors and religious figures as well as amazing secular designs.
7th grade Social Studies
This activity took students on a journey that led to valuable insights into Byzantine culture, religion, and art as well as the opportunity to make independent discoveries about the empire's legacy.
Surviving middle school for parents
This month's topic is flexibility. The ability to adapt and pivot in the face of set backs is always a difficult skill for middle schoolers to master. Take a look at this month's executive function focus info graphic here.
