Last week out Cross Country team competed in the SYRL Championships at Riverwalk. Shoutout to our Frosh Soph boys team who are LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

• Auditions for the Spring Musical are just around the corner! Monday, December 2, after school in the PAC! All CHS students are welcome to audition, bring your signed paperwork - see Mrs. Hammons in room 304 for the info/paperwork if you missed the meeting. See you on the stage!
• Drama Club Meeting Tuesday, December 3 at lunch in the PAC! See how you can be involved in Honors Theatre this spring and learn about our Toy Drive for the Bakersfield Homeless Center coming up on Christmas Eve! Snacks provided while supplies last! Bring a friend!

Seniors!! If you have not scheduled your senior yearbook photo, you need to contact Hall Photography to schedule your appointment ASAP!! Hall Photography will be on campus December 4th from 8:30am-12:30pm for yearbook photos ONLY. Students who still need a photo will be reminded the day before but will not be called out of class the day of.

You can now pay with card or apple pay in the student store! There will only be 1 line open that will accept cards, all of the other lines will remain cash only!

Centennial High Book Club will be meeting in the library at lunch on Wednesday, 11/20 to discuss Engima Girls and They Called Us Enemy.

SAT Exam on December 7th. Register on College Board by November 22nd. Late registration is available until November 26th. Secure your seat and register EARLY!

November 22- CHS will be on a 2 hour early-out schedule. Students will be dismissed at 12:48 pm, with lunch available from 12:48 -1:25 pm.

Due to our volleyball team making it to the CIF State So- Cal Regional FINALS, we be adjusting the days for cheer tryouts. Please read below for more information.

Are you interested in becoming a Centennial High School Cheerleader? Tryouts for the 2025 Basketball and Football season teams will be held November 18th, 20th and 21st in the Cafeteria 5-7:30pm. This tryout is for all current Centennial Students. An informational meeting will be held on Monday, November 4th in the Gym at lunch.

• Seniors! As most of you might know, FAFSA or the Financial Aid Application opens December 1st. We know the financial aid process can feel a little overwhelming, but don’t worry! We’re here to help guide you through it. That’s why we’re hosting our Cash 4 College event. It’s going to take place on December 10th from 5-7 PM in the library. This is a great opportunity for you and your parents to get expert assistance from our Counseling Department, College Success Coaches and our community partners who are familiar with the financial aid process. We also have CHS Swag we will be raffling off for your parents and a few prizes for students that you don't want to miss out on!
• Hey Seniors! Get ready to swoop down on scholarships! As you get ready for your college journey, we encourage you to explore scholarships that can help pay for school. On Monday November 18th we will be hosting a Scholarship Lab,1st through 7th period . During this session, we will assist you with finding scholarships, writing essays or personal statements, and understanding your financial aid options. Stop by the Career Center and pick the period you would like to attend or scan the QR Code at Mrs. Wattenbarger's desk outside the counseling offices.
