Awards will be presented at the following date and times. Parents will receive notification from the teacher if your child will get an award. Up to four guests are allowed per student. Students may wear their best dressed attire for the occasion.

May 17 - Kindergarten - 9:00 - Cafeteria

May 18 - 1st grade - 8:30 - Cafeteria

May 18 - 2nd grade - 9:30 - Cafeteria

May 22 - 3rd Grade - 9:00 - Cafeteria

Students will dismiss at noon on Wednesday, May 24th. This will conclude the 2022-2023 school year.

Please ensure that your mailing address is correct in JCampus. This is the address where the report card will be mailed on Friday, May 26

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school--and themselves. Start building this habit in PreK so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important.

School starts at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. Our goal is 95% on time attendance each day. Help us achieve this goal!

Last week, May 8-12 , our attendance rate was 96%. Thank you for getting your child to school on time!

Attendance is so important. Please help us achieve our goal! Ensure that your child gets to school on time and try to refrain from checking them out early except for doctors appointments or sickness.

Students are expected to be in attendance every school day. The only acceptable reasons for being absent are listed as:

1. Illness as verified by a physician

2. Hospital stay

3. Recuperation from an accident

4. Contagious disease as verified by a physician

5. Visitation with a parent who is a member of the US Armed Forces

6. Death in the immediate family

7. Natural Catastrophe

PreK through 8th grade students will not be allowed to exceed ten (10) absences each school year.

As we begin this new school year, the health and safety of all students and staff remain our top concern. Louisiana Department of Health has extended the incentive testing opportunity for the 2022-2023 school year to ensure the continued safety of our schools.

Our campus will participate in the voluntary, weekly COVID-19 testing program to help keep our school community safe and allow us to have regular in-person learning. By identifying infections early, weekly testing will continue to keep transmission low and students in school for in-person learning, sports, and extracurricular activities.

Even if you were signed up last year, everyone needs to re-register this school year.

If you have signed up your children to weekly test and are not receiving their weekly test results via email or text, please contact Orion by email at support@orion.healthcare or by phone at 225-910-8308.

All PBES students are issued ID badges. Please ensure that your child has his/her ID each day. If the child does not have their badge, he/she will receive a temporary badge and will be charged $1.00 per temporary badge issued. If the badge is lost, it is a $5.00 charge for a replacement.

Student Registration fees for the 22-23 school year are $20.00. The fee is due to the homeroom teacher by October 31, 2022. For your convenience, you may pay through the online portal at the website below. You will need to create an account and add your student to the account. If it asks for a Student ID, please put 000. If you need any assistance, please contact the school at 585-6172.

Student Technology Fees are $20.00 per student. This fee covers the use of the chromebooks in the classroom and if any damage occurs to the chromebook while your child is using it.
