Celebrating a Successful First Month of School
Dear Families,
As we embark on the first month of the new school year, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the achievements and exciting events happening in our school district.
First and foremost, I want to extend my gratitude to every one of you for your support and dedication during the first month of school. The enthusiasm and commitment from our students, teachers, staff, and families have been truly remarkable. Your collective efforts have set a positive tone for the entire academic year, and I'm confident that we will continue to achieve great things together.
I'm thrilled to announce the completion of not one, but two brand-new high school turf fields. These state-of-the-art facilities will provide our students with enhanced opportunities for physical education, sports, and extracurricular activities. The fields are a testament to our commitment to providing top-notch educational and recreational resources to our community.
Additionally, we have an exciting event on the horizon. Our annual CCPS College & Career Fair is just around the corner. It will be held on October 4 at North East High School. This event provides our high school students with the opportunity to explore various college and career options, connect with college representatives, and gather valuable information to help them make informed decisions about their future. It's an event we look forward to every year, and we can't wait to see our students engage in this enriching experience.
As we move forward, please remember that open communication is vital to our continued success. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Your feedback is essential in helping us improve and better serve our school community.
In closing, I want to express my appreciation for the unwavering support you provide to our schools. Together, we are shaping a bright future for our students, and I am excited about the journey ahead.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.

Thank You, CCPS Technology Department
National Information Technology (IT) Professionals' Day was created over 20 years ago as a way of honoring the men and women who work tirelessly to keep our systems running.
From reimaging Chromebooks, wiring buildings, maintaining and troubleshooting databases, keeping us digitally “safe,” and maintaining all staff laptops, we could NEVER do our job without them!!
