March 28th 2025 Principal's Message
Hello Blevins Families,
Welcome back from spring break! We hope you had a restful and refreshing time with family and friends. As we step into this final stretch of the school year, we’re excited for all the opportunities ahead, including the start of spring sports. Our student-athletes are gearing up for an exciting season of girls and boys golf, track & field, softball, and unified basketball—good luck to all our teams!
I also want to celebrate some incredible student achievements. Congratulations to Daniel and Xzaviana for representing Blevins in PSD’s 12th Annual Kids Cooking Competition! Their creativity and culinary skills made us proud. Additionally, a huge shoutout to Bri Pighetti for having her artwork recognized in Superintendent Kingsley’s Annual SuperArt ceremony—what an amazing accomplishment!
Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community. Let’s make this spring a season of growth, success, and celebration!
Proudly,
Joe Zappa, Principal

A Message from PTO
Hello Bruin Family,
Hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! Summer is quickly approaching but there is still a lot going on at Blevins! First off, we are super excited for Blevin’s Bloomin’ Bash coming up on May 1st. Please come for a great night of community and fun with your fellow Bruin Families and next year’s new 6th grade Bruins!
We’re also thrilled that the Gifted and Talented program is working on beautifying the front yard! We were able to purchase the bushes, shrubs and flowers for this great project and Mrs. Jankow, along with the Gifted and Talented students and much of our admin staff, will be putting in the hard work to make this project a reality. We can't wait to see how beautiful it turns out!
We’ve also been working hard to support teachers by providing some of the essential classroom items that make learning both successful and fun! Our Teacher Appreciation Chair has been diligently gathering teacher "wish lists." While we were able to fulfill everyday needs like Kleenex, pencils, and Expo markers, we also met some of the larger requests thanks to the generous donations you’ve all provided over the years. Below is a list of just a few of the items we’ve been able to support:
- Much needed new books & audiovisual items for the Library
- Tuners for the Band Students
- Fit Roll Dice & Flag Belts for PE
- New Footballs, Soccer Balls, Volleyballs, etc. for Outdoor Rec
- And a Gaga Pit!
Looking forward a wonderful last quarter!
Sincerely,
Shauna Moffatt
PTO President
