The NB Jr. Sr HS Music Program held their Fall/Halloween Concert last Wednesday evening. Seven High School students were recognized for ILMEA Honor Band and Choir awards. The students did an excellent job on their performances!

24.25 NB Music Program Fall/Halloween Concert Pics and Videos

FCCLA had a great time attending the Fall Leadership Meeting on Monday, October 21st. Members listened to the Keynote speaker, Jason Lindsay, "Mr. Science." Students then attended breakout sessions on mental health, color personality tests, mental yoga, opportunities to committee in FCCLA and more. We had a great day!

On Tuesday, FCCLA members dipped 175 dozen pretzel sticks! They had a very successful fundraiser this year!

The Spanish Club treated the officers to a thank you dinner and dessert last night at Sabores. They worked really hard on making all the videos for Hispanic Heritage Month, and I was impressed with their efforts. We had a great time! In the first picture, they're pretending to look for Dylan Walton, our Fundraising Director, who couldn't make it because he has been ill. Looking forward to more Spanish Club fun this year!

The Spanish Club chose NBA Hall of Fame Player, Dikembe Mutombo, to honor this year in the hallway dispaly case for Día de los Muertos.

Here is our building's Weekly Attendance Update. We dipped below 95% this week - Friday was a record low for attendance for our school year. Hopefully, we can get that back up this week!

NBHS Pretzels with a Purpose (Click to view the album) - On the Morning of October 11th, we ran our Pretzels with a Purpose Program. Students participated in 4 different activities, featuring a College and Career Readiness session, a Social/Emotional Mental Health First Aid Session, a Postive/Healthy Relationship Building Session, and a session on Major Clarity, our college and career planning platform.

NBHS Fall PBIS Celebration (click to view the album) - On October 11th, we had our Fall PBIS Celebration to highlight what a great first quarter this has been! Students participated in a variety of activities: Jumbo Scrabble, Smash Brother's Tourney, Crafting Room, Chill Room, Movies, Indoor/Outdoor Recreational Activities, and Karaoke! It has been a great first quarter and we are looking forward to even more accomplishments during second quarter!
