Wow! What a fun (and busy) month we have to look forward to! Notes will be coming home about all our fun festivities so keep an eye out for those. A Note From Our Interventionist: Ms. Simons

First Diary

My daughter, Meg became really interested in reading when I started writing down her thoughts in a diary.

Some days, I’d write down what she said about school or our funny kitten. Other times, I’d ask her questions and write the answers. “What made you laugh today?” “Tell me about your best friend,”

When a page was finished, I’d read it to her. Boy, did she ever listen! I loved seeing Meg pull out her diary and “read” it to her dad. She was so proud! 💗

Take them along

Our family has gotten into the habit of taking books with us whenever we go out. When we have to wait at places like the doctor’s office, we have something special to do. Reading seems to magically soothe my children when they’re impatient or nervous. 💗
