LFO picked up a 13-3 win on Senior Night to close out the season.

The Warriors sent the seniors out in style with a 6-3 win over Adairsville.

Mark your calendars for The Feather Awards, LFO's athletic awards event on May 20th at 7:00 pm.

Warriors, please mark your calendars! Final exams are just around the corner. Seniors finals will be May 19th and 20th. Final exams for underclassmen will be May 22nd and 23rd. Let’s finish strong and make these last few weeks count.

Warriors, please make sure you are aware of these important End of Course (EOC) testing dates! These assessments are state-mandated and will count for 10% of your final course grade. It’s essential that you take them seriously and prepare accordingly. As with all tests, adequate preparation can make a big difference—review your notes, complete any study guides, and get plenty of rest the night before. Let’s finish strong!

Senior Students, mark your calendars! Senior Week is just around the corner, and we don't want you to miss a moment of the fun. Make sure you have submitted all the required paperwork so you are cleared to participate in all the exciting activities that are planned. This is a special time to celebrate your accomplishments and make memories with your classmates.

*Students must be in good academic standing to attend the activities.

The Class of 2000 reunion is quickly approaching, and we need your help spreading the word. It’s time to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the legacy these Warriors built at LFO. Feathers Up to the Class of 2000 for the lasting impact they made at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.

Exemptions for finals will be based on unexcused absences and grades in each course. Since exemptions will be based on unexcused absences, it is important to send notes to excuse absences. Notes must be turned in to the attendance clerk within ten days of the absence.

Students may be exempt from finals if:

3 unexcused absences with an A in the course

2 unexcused absences with a B in the course

1 unexcused absence with a C in the course

0 unexcused absences with a D in the course

Each year, LFO recognizes a senior poet who represents their senior class. All poem

submissions are judged by an anonymous panel of teachers who base their decisions on

the literary merit of the poem and its adherence to the theme.

This year’s Yearbook theme is: “Oh The Places Warriors Go: Our Journey, Our Legacy.”

Student submissions should demonstrate their creativity along this theme and be

appropriate for this graduating class.

Tips:

Poems do NOT have to rhyme.

Poems do NOT have to be in any set format, but they DO need to be in poetry form.

Poems MUST be original works by the students who submit them.

Poems MUST be typed.

LFO Fine Arts is excited to announce its annual Art Auction, taking place in the Fine Arts lobby! This is a wonderful opportunity to see the incredible talent and creativity of our LFO students on full display. It's early registration time for the LFO Art Camp for ages +/- 5-13 years old being held on June 17, 18, and 19 in room 402 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be 12 hours of STEAM learning at LFO HS with Art Club and Civic Arts League helpers. The Artist Certificate, medal, and portfolio are included.

Bring lunch, a water bottle, and a plain T-shirt.

Rock Bridge Community Church has announced its 2025 Food Drop schedule, with distributions alternating between LFO and Ridgeland. Food drops at LFO are scheduled for February 15, April 19, June 21, August 16, and October 18.

Warrior Upperclassmen, mark your calendars! LFO’s 2025 Prom is set for April 26, 2025, and it’s going to be an unforgettable night! This year’s theme is An Enchanted Evening, promising a magical atmosphere filled with elegance and wonder. For more information, be sure to visit Mrs. Durand in Room 101, Mrs. Williams in Room 113, or Coach Jazz in Room 218.

LFO is incredibly grateful for the continued support from Communities In Schools, who generously provide prom dresses and suits each year for our students through the Student Success Center. This amazing opportunity ensures that all students can shine on their special night.
