Happy New Year!

What a way to kick off the first week back to school in the new year...SNOW...and freezing temperatures! Thank you families for your patience last week in the loading zone as kids started bringing snow gear. We know it takes a bit of extra time for them to get out of the car with extra bags, but it is so worth it to see them playing together in the snow at recess. We missed the kids on Friday, but hope everyone enjoyed playing in the snow together.

If you haven't seen Dr. Bein's message yet, we will have an E-Learning Day tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16th. If you have any questions about the day, please email your child's teacher.

Our OMS PTA is sponsoring an author visit for all students by Chicago-area author, Kate Hannigan, on Tuesday, January 23. Ms. Hannigan is the author of many books including nonfiction picture books, nonfiction graphic novels about history topics, and fiction chapter books. You are invited to follow this link to the LMC website if you are interested in ordering an autographed copy of one of her books. Please place your order by January 18 in order to receive it by the visit day.
