Music Bears Celebrate!
Both of our orchestras performed at District MPA this month. They did very well in front of a panel of four expert judges!
Sinfonietta Orchestra, our beginning/intermediate ensemble, received a rating of Excellent on stage, the second highest rating. They also received the highest rating of a Superior in sight-reading. Even though they received an Excellent, they were only 3 points away from a Superior, which is tremendously close!
Bayside Philharmonia, our premiere orchestra, received a SUPERIOR rating, the highest possible rating on stage and in sight-reading! With this result, our Philharmonia qualifies for State MPA.
This year will be Philharmonia's first time performing at this event since 2006!!
