Mrs. Lincecum and Mr. Robinson
Mr. Robinson - Assistant Principal
Principal - Angela Lincecum
I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of South Alabama. I have been honored to be a part of Mobile County Public Schools for over twenty years. I was a classroom teacher and Title I Facilitator for fourteen years before becoming a School Improvement Specialist in Federal Programs. After four years of serving over twenty Mobile County schools as a School Improvement Specialist, I was named principal at Kate Shepard.
Kate Shepard is an amazing school filled with awesome students, staff, and parents. I am confident that this year will be successful for our students academically, socially, and emotionally. I can't wait to get to know you and your students this year. I look forward to another successful year at the place where we....Know. Love. Grow.
Assistant Principal - Frederic Robinson
Greetings!
My name is Frederic Robinson. I have been married to my wonderful wife, April for 16 years. We have two beautiful daughters, Carli and Caylee.
I have been in the Mobile County School System for nine years and I have taught at E.R. Dickson Elementary School my entire career.
I love cooking and eating good food, fishing, traveling, reading the Bible, and creating music.
A fun fact about myself is that I was born the night of hurricane Frederic and that’s where my first name came from.
I am so excited to join Kate Shepard Elementary School, to meet new people, and to help lead our students into their bright future!
Mr. Robinson

Arrival and Dismissal Policies and Procedures
Arrival & Dismissal
Thank you for your patience as we encounter our annual back to school traffic. We know that the first few days of school always require a bit more patience as we ensure that all our students arrive and dismiss safely. I am certain that our traffic congestion will subside as we get back into our routines. Please do not park and walk your child up to the building. All carpool students should be dropped off in carpool line. We have plenty of staff on hand to assist with getting your child to their classroom.
PLEASE help your student remember their carpool number. This will help us get all students out and loaded quickly.
Remember, students are not allowed to get out of their vehicles before 7:45 a.m. nor should they be allowed to wait on the front porch. They must remain in their vehicles until they hear “Unload”. Walkers should not arrive on campus before 7:45 a.m.
To keep our students safe, we will not move carpool traffic until all students are off the sidewalks. Please know that this is for the safety of our students. Thank you for being patient as we work together to create a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal.
NEW DISMISSAL PROCEDURE: As you pull into our carpool pick up line, please make sure to have your carpool hanging tag displayed. You will turn on your hazard lights while waiting for your student to load. Once you have all students loaded, please turn hazard lights off to indicate that you are loaded and ready.
If a yellow tag is placed on your vehicle, you will the first car at the front of the loading and unloading zone.
If a red tag is placed on your vehicle, you are missing the proper pick-up tag for your vehicle. You will be directed to park in one of the parking spaces in front of the school.
The third lane is only utilized during morning carpool for car riders. In the afternoon, the third lane is only used for daycare vans.

Kate Shepard's Motto: Know. Love. Grow.
We expect our teachers and staff to KNOW our students by building positive and encouraging relationships. Our students KNOW that they are learning in a safe and secure environment. Students also KNOW that we have high expectations and they can and will achieve greatness.
We must all show LOVE, kindness, and compassion to others.
We expect all students to GROW. The faculty and staff at Shepard will nurture and cultivate growth in our students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Capturing Kids Hearts
We are excited to introduce to you the "Capturing Kids' Hearts" initiative that we will be implementing at our school. We are committed to providing a positive and engaging environment where all students can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
At its core, "Capturing Kids Hearts" focuses on building positive relationships between students and their teachers, as well as fostering a sense of belonging and connection within the school community. Through this initiative, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
CKH is built on 4 foundational principles:
1. Social Contract: Students and teachers will work together to create a set of rules and expectations that everyone agrees to follow. This allows for open communication, mutual respect, and a sense of ownership within the classroom.
2. The 10-Second Rule: We believe in the power of greeting every student with a smile and a personal greeting within the first 10 seconds of their arrival in the classroom. This simple act sets a positive tone for the day and helps students feel seen and valued.
3. The Circle of Influence: We will encourage our students to focus on what they can control, rather than dwelling on things outside of their control. This mindset empowers them to take ownership of their actions and choices, fostering a sense of responsibility.
4. The Four Questions: These 4 questions serve as a framework for problem-solving and conflict resolution. By asking themselves and others these questions, students learn to take responsibility, communicate effectively, and find solutions that benefit everyone involved.
We believe that implementing the "Capturing Kids' Hearts" process will have a profound impact on our school community. We encourage you to learn more about "Capturing Kids' Hearts" by visiting their website and also through ongoing conversations with your child about their class social contract that they will create during the first few weeks of school. We value your partnership in this journey and look forward to working together to create a positive and nurturing environment for our children.
