Share Your Story at the SRP Workshop!
We are looking for library staff to have a table top display or participate in the Ignite Session at the September 20th SRP Workshop. (See the newsletter below for more info about the workshop).
- Table top displays (9:30am-10:30am) should include flyers, brochures, reading logs, photos, and/or other materials from your 2018 Summer Reading Program. Anything that paints a picture of summer reading at your library is welcome! Children's, Teen, and Adult Services library staff are encouraged to participate together. We are looking for up to 10 libraries to display their materials.
- Ignite Session presentations (10:30am-11:25am) will each be 5 minutes with 1-2 PowerPoint slides highlighting something new you tried this summer. It could be a new SRP model, a new program, a new partnership, using new tech/new tools, your first SRP in a new position, etc. Children's, Teen, and Adult Services library staff are welcome to present together. We are looking for up to 10 presentations.

CSLP wants to hear from you!
The Statistics Committee of the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is conducting a survey to better understand how public library staff use and value CSLP membership and materials. This short, 9 question survey should only take a few minutes and all public library staff who develop and implement a children's, teen, and/or adult summer library program are encouraged to participate. CSLP will share the data collected from this survey with CSLP state representatives and the CSLP Board of Directors; all responses will remain anonymous.
This survey is open now through October 31.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cslp_value
Please note:
- For question #3 "Are you/your library a member of the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP)?" you're answer is "yes." All Rhode Island public libraries are CSLP members through OLIS with funding from IMLS.
- For the purposes of this survey, the phrase “summer library program” is used in equivalence to summer reading program or summer learning program. This survey does not concern materials and promotions provided by CSLP partner organizations, such as Demco/Upstart.
