“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” – Henri Frederic Amiel

ATTENDACE MATTERS
Effects of Chronic Absenteeism (Missing 18 or more days in a year)
- Students who are chronically absent score lower on standardized tests and have poorer overall academic achievement.
- Chronic absenteeism in early grades correlates with lower cognitive skills in early childhood and poorer academic performance at age 15.
- Missing just 10% of school days (about 18 days in a 180-day school year) can negatively affect a student's academic performance.
- Poor attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade.
- Students unable to read proficiently by third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE CEREAL DONATIONS!!!
