Important Dates
Mt. Hebron Families,
As we embrace November as National Gratitude Month, I want to take a moment to reflect on the appreciation I have for this extraordinary community. Growing up in this school community and now serving as your principal, I am continually reminded of the strong relationships and shared values that make Mt. Hebron such a special place.
This year, we are proud to celebrate the 50th annual canned food drive at Mt. Hebron High School. This longstanding tradition exemplifies our commitment to coming together to support those in need within our community. If you are able, I encourage you to contribute to this effort, continuing the legacy of care and generosity that defines our school.
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support of our school, students, and staff. Your partnership makes Mt. Hebron a place where everyone feels valued and supported.
Wishing you and your family a relaxing and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving holiday.
With Viking Pride and Spirit,
Katie Clark, Principal

Future Business Leaders of America
This past weekend, Mt. Hebron's chapter of Future Business Leaders of America, participated in the Regional Leadership Conference at River Hill High School. Our chapter had 135 participating members vying for a chance to qualify in the Top 4 and move on to States. After facing very tough competition, 57 of our club members qualified for states. Congratulations to those who have qualified! In a few events, Mt. Hebron's students also came close to running the board ; Our students placed First and Third in Broadcast Journalism, First and Third in Computer Game & Simulation Programming, First and Third in Economics, First and Second in Networking Infrastructures, Second, Third and Fourth in Public Service Announcement, and Second and Fourth in Visual Design.
Special recognition goes out to those students who placed First in their respective events: Siri Gundu, Prannya Karri, Adithi Kolli, Sanjay Badrinathan, Daksh Mathapati, Aadarsh Shah, Jiwoo Jeong, Pranav Boreddy, Navya Bhatia, Amitha Sabbani, Arshawn Baharno, Akhil Dommaraju, Rakiz Chong, Lay Shah, Rumaisa Ahmed, Irene Kim, Hannah Park, and Shaan Kalyani, so if you see them, make sure to congratulate them on their achievement! The pressure is on for our qualifying members as in the next few months they have to travel to Baltimore City for the State Leadership Conference, which brings more competition and more stakes!
Student Leadership with the Board of Education

Gifted and Talented Advanced Research Courses for 2025-2026
Did you know that your child can learn college-level research skills in high school? Mt. Hebron offers three advanced research courses – Independent Research GT, Intern/Mentor GT, and AP Seminar. Students in IR and I/M will work through the entire research process while also studying a topic they find personally interesting! AP Seminar is designed to teach students how to do secondary research on selected topics while potentially earning college credit! All of these courses offer weighted credit towards a student’s GPA while developing skills they can transfer to college and beyond! You can read more about all three courses here. You are invited to attend a virtual or in-person information session to learn more about what is available and hear from current students! See the linked flyer for details.
Senior Yearbook Portraits
January 6th is the final day for seniors to have their senior yearbook portrait taken in-school. After that, you must go to a studio if you would like to have your formal senior portrait taken and included in the yearbook. The sitting for the yearbook pose is FREE! Tux and drape are provided. We would love to have all seniors represented in the yearbook. See the attached flyer for details on how to register for an in-school appointment. The appointment slots are for seniors who have not had pictures taken yet, not for students who need retakes. Contact the number on the flyer if you need to have retakes before March 1st.
