School Wide Testing This week
All students will take Common District Finals or Principal-Approved Assessments this week. These assessments are a significant portion of student grades for each of their courses, please ensure that students are present.

Students should check with their AICE/AP teacher for their testing location and exact start/end times for testing. Please review the “AICE Testing Procedures for Students” slide presentation shared on Schoology to ensure students have the appropriate materials ready to bring to testing and that they do not bring any prohibited items into the testing room. Please encourage your students to get a good night’s rest, eat breakfast and show up on time to their exams.
9th, 10th and 11th Device Collection
Friday, May 23rd
All students will turn in their laptops on Friday, May 23rd. Current 9th grade students must also return charger as they will be receiving new laptops when they return in the fall.
Summer Dual Enrollment Device Information
If your student is registered for summer dual enrollment classes via Daytona State, they are required to complete additional steps to be able to use their device during the summer. Families should complete the online annual registration including the required technology forms and then students must bring their devices to the tech office at MHS to be updated.

Annual Registration Open Now!
All families are required to complete the online Annual Registration process to ensure their student is properly enrolled at MHS next year. This process includes the completion of required forms for students to pick up their laptops during distribution this summer. Please use the Flagler Parent Portal Link below to complete this process and be ready for August!
PBIS Carnival Parent Permission
Parent Permission Deadline MONDAY 5/19
The PBIS Spring Carnival is an annual celebratory event rewarding students who have done the RIGHT things with a chance to do the FUN things. Students who have received ZERO referrals for Quarter 4 (beginning 3/24) will enjoy games, food trucks, music, bounce houses, a silent disco (for the first time at MHS) and other inflatable activities to recognize and encourage a positive school culture. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun and engaging atmosphere while reinforcing the values of respect, responsibility, and integrity. This event will be held at MHS on Friday, May 23rd during the school day and is free of charge to all students.
Parents, please complete the permission form below to give your student permission to participate in this event. Eligibility to participate will be determined the week of the event.

Track and Field Celebration
Congratulations to Peyton Cerasi for finishing in 2nd place in the state at the FHSAA State Track and Field meet last week - we are so proud of Peyton and can't wait to see what she will accomplish in the future!
Congratulations Lady Pirate Softball
Congratulations to our Lady Pirate Softball team on a great season, we are so proud that they made it all the way to Regional Final. This team showed heart and grit and exemplified their motto "She who has the will to win cannot be defeated"
Spring Football Game - 5/23
Come on out to the Ship for our Spring Football Classic vs. Pine Ridge HS, kickoff is at 7PM, gates open at 6PM. The theme for the game is Red, White and Blue in honor of Memorial Day!

Virtual Tutoring Opportunities!
MHS Last Day for Tutoring: May 22nd
Did you know MHS offers online free tutoring hosted by MHS teachers? Students can join these online sessions for math tutoring and homework help on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This opportunity is open to all students, the link is posted on Schoology.

All students are required to have parent permission to attend (see below).
Subjects/Offerings will be adjusted based on student demand throughout the year. Any changes to the schedule and offerings will be communicated in advance.

Senior Grading Timelines
May 19th: Teacher Deadline to Submit Senior Grades
May 26th: Senior Report Cards available in Skyward
Any senior who has not yet completed their Edgenuity courses is expected to attend school to work in the Grad100 lab full time until all courses required for graduation are completed!
Wall the Halls Information
Any senior who wishes to participate in one of the walk the halls celebrations at the elementary schools MUST bring Matanzas HS photo ID to the event. An MHS staff member will be there to check students in. Please arrive at the indicated time below so that you will be lined up and ready for the walk the halls.
Senior Google Account Deactivation Information
As a reminder, Seniors will also lose access to your Flagler Schools Google and email account in June. Please make sure you have updated email contact information and downloaded any files you need from Google Drive. (More detailed directions can be found in Schoology updates.)
Do you sign into any accounts with your school email that you will need in the future?
If you use your school email to access any accounts you will need in the future, please make sure to change your email address to your personal email. This is especially important if you used this email for College Board, Khan Academy, Florida Bright Futures, or ACT. You should be able to go into settings on these accounts and change your email address.
Do you need any files from your Google Drive?
You will need to download these files or transfer them to a personal storage account or device. Below are several ways you can do this.
You can also sign into your school Google Drive on a personal device and download any files you will need.
Copy content from your school account to another account with Google Takeout. Click here for directions on how to do this. Please keep in mind free personal Google accounts have a 15G storage limit. You may want to delete any files you will not need before transferring the files to your personal account.

Bright Futures Application Reminder
If you have qualified for or will qualify for the Florida Financial Aid Application Scholarships (Bright Futures Awards) you MUST complete your Florida Financial Aid Application BEFORE YOU GRADUATE to receive any potential award money!
Please request the quick guide tutorial from your school counselor if needed (the guide was also supplied to you in the College & Career prep packet).
If you qualify for a scholarship and plan to attend college in Fall 2025, you will NOT receive the award money if this application is not completed BEFORE you graduate.
