Cypress Cubs News πΎπΎ
Dear Cypress Family,
Our October adventure has been filled with festivities and celebrations that will keep our explorers smiling for weeks to come! We recently gathered to recognize our students who exemplified Character of the Month: Respect at October's assembly, and it was wonderful to see so many proud faces. Our Annual Halloween Parade was a thrilling event that brought out our Cypress community spirit in full! The TK and Kindergarten Pumpkins kicked off the parade with the cutest costumes and smiles while reciting 5 Little Pumpkins, and our 5th graders ended the parade with a show stopping rendition of Thriller that had us all clapping and dancing along!
Thank you for keeping your young explorers here on these special days so they can make memories with their classmates that will last a lifetime.
Remembering Loved Ones: Celebrating DΓa de los Muertos
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took time to visit our ofrenda in the Cypress Cafeteria. Remembering loved ones as part of our DΓa de los Muertos celebration brought warmth to our community, allowing us to honor those who have journeyed before us. Itβs a reminder that in this great adventure, weβre supported by the memories of those we love.

Library Hours π
The Cypress ES Library is a warm and welcoming place for students, teachers, and parents. It is the goal of the library program to develop and encourage a love of reading for all students and assist them in becoming critical thinkers who are effective and responsible users of information.
School Uniform ππ©³
District K-5 schools have a mandatory uniform/standardized dress policy adopted by the Board of Education. This policy provides an opportunity for students to dress neatly for school, and it helps students to look at othersβ character instead of their attire.
No Crocs or Sandals. π©΄
Due to slipping and tripping issues, crocs and sandals are NOT ALLOWED as they are a safety hazard.
Safety is our #1 Priority πΈ
Please prioritize the safety of our school community by strictly adhering to the parking lot rules. Following traffic guidelines and reducing your speed is crucial for a secure and efficient drop-off and pick-up process. Your commitment to these rules ensures a safe environment for our students and their families and contributes to the overall well-being of our school community. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a secure and orderly school environment.
At this time, the middle lane will remain closed, beginning at 8:00 AM. Please plan accordingly. Breakfast begins at 7:40 AM so you are more than welcomed to drop off earlier to beat the traffic. If you are parking, please be mindful when backing up and exiting the parking lot, in a safe manner.
Please follow traffic and parking laws and courteous practices for the safety of our students and for our neighbors.
