Hi Families,
The beautiful weather and additional sunlight hours are proof that Spring has finally sprung! It has been an eventful school year, with many exciting learning opportunities happening in our building on a daily basis.
May and June are very busy months at WRCS. We have a number of field trips happening and our Grade 8's will begin their transition to Peace Wapiti Academy. Please save the date for our Kindergarten Graduations, happening on June 18th for our Monday/Wednesday class, and June 19th for our Tuesday/Thursday classes.
Additionally, we will be having our Grade 8 Farewell on the evening of June 19th.
As we start our planning for next year, please notify the school if you plan on moving during the summer months. Additionally, if any of our families have children entering Kindergarten please register soon. Over the next couple of weeks, the school will be reaching out to all of our new Kindergarten families.
Thank you so much to the students and families who supported the chocolate fundraiser. All of the proceeds go directly towards supporting activities for our students.
Our School Council and Participarent groups have been tireless volunteers throughout the school year. These groups consult on a range of issues in the school including policies, parent concerns and more. They also volunteer their time for hot lunch and are currently developing the school field. Thank you to all the parents and volunteers. If you are interested in joining one of these valuable groups, please do not hesitate to reach out or simply join us in our next meeting!
