Dear Los Pen Families,
I don't know if there is a more exciting place to be than Los Pen at the end of a school year! Fourth Graders were soaking their teachers, TK students were having bubble parties, and Kindergartners were singing their way to First Grade. And, for the first time in Los Pen history, we welcomed all of our LPES alumni who are graduating high school this school year to return to their elementary school and be celebrated before they leave PUSD. Just look at their smiling, proud faces!
As we wrap up our '24-'25 school year, it seems fitting that tomorrow will be Aloha Spirit Wear Day. Dress in tropical attire to say goodbye to this fabulous school year and hello to summer!
Remember, our last day of school will be tomorrow, Thursday, June 12th. All students will be dismissed at 1:00 PM.

Poway Unified School District is currently enrolling new students for the 2025-2026 school year!
PUSD Enrollment is an online process. Enrolment packets are digital and can be completed using any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection. You can contact your assigned school of residence to schedule an appointment if you do not have access to a device/internet or if you need assistance with completing the online enrollment packet. Full-Day Universal TK in Poway Unified
PUSD is now offering a full-day Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. TK is designed as the first year of a two-year kindergarten program and uses a play-based curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. EC Section 48000 [d]. Students who participate in TK will attend school daily for a full day, including a scheduled lunch and recess. Contact your neighborhood school for specific hours and details.
For the 2025-26 school year, TK enrollment is open to all eligible 4 year olds within the Poway Unified School District. This means, if your child's 4th birthday is on/before September 1, 2025 (born between September 2, 2020 and September 1, 2021), you are eligible to enroll your child in our full-day Transitional Kindergarten program!
