Dear Falcon Creek Families,

This letter contains important information regarding spring conferences at Falcon Creek Middle School. Based on parent feedback, we are modifying our conference schedule with the goal of allowing more time for parents to meet with teachers. This spring, we are hosting two in-person evenings and one daytime virtual session. The evening sessions will be split by last names, as shown in the schedule below. We ask that you please make every effort to adhere to the night dedicated to your last name.

Please note that you may choose to attend either the drop in conferences in February or virtual conferences in March.

DROP-IN Arena Conferences (February 21st and 22nd)

• The format in February will be DROP-IN, arena-style conferences. All academic, elective, and student achievement services departments will be set-up throughout the building. You will be able to speak with whomever you choose, no appointment necessary.

• 6th and 7th Grade Core and Special Education teachers will be located in the main gym.

• 8th Grade Core and Special EducationTeachers and all Elective Teachers will be located in the Cafeteria.

• Other Special Education, Mental Health, Multilingual Learning, Gifted & Talented, and Reading Interventionists will be located in the Innovation Center.

• Please limit your time to 5-10 minutes per teacher, allowing for all families to conference.

• We will have a Spanish interpreter available on both nights of Drop In Conferences. All other languages should have been requested through the main office.

Virtual Conferences (March 7th)

• Please watch for a Microsoft Bookings Link to reserve conferences with individual teachers

• Each virtual conference will be 15 minutes in length.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: if you missed your chance to submit a baby ad for your 8th grader, we have extended the deadline to 2/6. However, this is the final extension, and we will not be able to add any more due to printing deadlines. Thank you!

Beginning September 1, RTD is excited to welcome a future generation of transit users to experience all the benefits without a fare. Zero Fare for Youth is a one-year pilot program that aims to enhance the lives of RTD customers and communities by reducing transportation costs for families. By inviting ages 19 and under to ride at no cost, we also remove barriers to education and employment, while creating access to destinations across the metro Denver Area.

We would like you to meet an outstanding 7th grade teacher, Ms. Cat Summers! The thing she enjoys most about FCMS is the sense of family between staff and students. She has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and a Master’s in Literacy. The funniest thing that she’s seen a student do is eat a raw potato in front of class. She would like to see more students treating others with respect. Her family motivates her and Ms. Summers favorite thing to do outside of school is kayak or take RV trips with her family. To distress, she likes to sit in her hot tub. SOAR to her means to do your best.
