Shout Outs from Parents & Students
Please use THIS LINK to provide a shout-out to a staff member who deserves a pat on the back!
Ms. Paul-Nally: Honestly Ms. Paul couldn't be a better teacher. It was tough answer the question, "Where did this act of kindness or helpfulness occur?" because she's so kind everywhere she goes. I've just joined orchestra and only known her for one day however, that day was for sure the best day of school.
Ms. Kang: She is helping Korean moms out of school. We are new to TRMS. We had lots of questions. She answered nicely and helped out.
Congratulations to our Jr. Cougars XC team!
On Saturday, 16 TRMS students headed to East Jackson High School for the North Georgia Stage Races. Michael Federico won the boys race and the boys team would take 3rd place. The girls were led by Megan Boggs and Alexis Reed as ladies took first place in the girls race. Great job to all the runners!
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
According to the CDC, suicide is among the leading causes of death for people ages 10-66 and is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 10-14. Despite being a leading cause of death, suicide it is preventable. During this month, our school will be drawing attention to the problem of suicide and advocating the prevention of this tragedy. We encourage our students and families to participate in Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. School Counselors and School Social Worker will be sharing resources and activities (such as our SOS Signs of Suicide Program) throughout September to bring awareness to suicide prevention. The awareness generated this month has the potential to have an enormous impact on our school community, even the chance to save a life.
Thank you for supporting this initiative and continuing the conversation at home with your students.
