SBAC Testing
Dear Parents/Guardians of 3rd-5th Emerson Eagles,
As we approach state testing, we want to thank you for your support in helping your child feel prepared and confident. Your role is crucial in ensuring they have a positive testing experience. Here are a few ways you can help:
✔️ Ensure Rest & Nutrition – A good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast can make a big difference in focus and performance.
✔️ Encourage a Positive Mindset – Remind your child that effort matters more than perfection. Encouragement goes a long way!
✔️ Be on Time – Arriving at school on time helps them start the day stress-free.
✔️ Minimize Stress – Avoid scheduling appointments or late-night activities during testing
Most importantly, reassure your child that they are prepared and that this is just an opportunity to show what they know. Thank you for being our partners in their success!
Reminder
Bike & Scooter Safety Reminder!
Dear Families,
Students are more than welcome to ride their bikes or scooters to school! It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy the fresh air. However, we want to ensure everyone stays safe, so here are a few important reminders:
✔️ Walk your bike or scooter when entering and leaving campus.
✔️ Park bikes and scooters at the bike racks located at our front entrance on Josie Ave.
✔️ Remember to wear a helmet and follow all traffic safety rules.
Thank you for helping us keep our school a safe and welcoming place for everyone! 🚴♂️💙

- Pets are not allowed on campus in the walkways leading to gates and beyond
- Please do not allow students to pet your pet
- Please clean up after your pet.
SCHOOL CENTS FUNDRAISER - SEPT 1 THROUGH APRIL 30
This year we are excited to announce that Emerson will be participating in the School Cents fundraiser. We have an opportunity to raise money by shopping at any of the following shopping Centers through April 30th - Lakewood Mall, Los Cerritos Mall, and Stonewood Center. The only thing we need from families is your receipts uploaded to their website from any participating stores it those centers. They can either be dropped off at the school for us to upload, they can be emailed to Emerson directly (a link will be provided before Friday), or they can be uploaded by the person making the purchase. Friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and anyone else who you'd like to invite can participate.
These are the last few weeks to earn more points! Bring your receipts for any purchases made at any of the malls listed below to help us earn more during this fundraiser. This is the easiest fundraiser all year, because we can earn points for things you are buying already, we only need your receipts!
This is our last opportunity to earn points and increase our chances of earning more before the contest ends on April 30th!
Receipts can be brought to the office, or uploaded on your own - whichever is easiest! A drop box has been placed on the front counter, and a mailbox has now been added next to the Main Office door in the hallway to make dropping off receipts even easier.
We're slowing moving up! This month we moved down to 21st place in the contest, but there's still time to help us move back to the top 10 before the contest ends! Let us know if there are any questions. Don't wait, upload your receipts today, or turn them into the office and we can do it for you.
Thank you in advance for all of your support!
We moved up to 21st place 🤩 CONTEST ENDS ON 4/30!!
Please note that this is not an official document. If your child will not be returning to Emerson, please make sure to complete the withdrawal paperwork.
