Capital Improvements will consider whether to purchase 2 large format printer/scanner for Public Works & Community Development [Purchase: $27,793, Savings $12,000+ over 5 years]. This would end the practice of leasing the equipment.
Candidate Filing begins on the 14th Tuesday before the election, beginning at 8am on 12/10 & shall remain open until 5pm on 12/31. Candidates can file in the City Clerk's Office at the Hall of Waters. There is (1) seat available.
Historic Preservation will hear about administratively approved COAs: painting @ 220 W. Excelsior; replace roof @ 510 SKC Ave., replace front porch decking @ 529 Elms Blvd., paint/repair siding @ 510 SKC Ave., roof-top HVAC @ 111 E. Broadway; COAs for review by commission: signage @ 415 St. Louis Ave., tear off back porch & build 8x8 deck + rebuild side porch @ 218 W. Excelsior; place covered patio @ 101-105 E. Broadway; various exterior alteration @ 426 Benton.
Clay County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Presentation @ Community Center; Enrollment Dates: January 1-March 31, 2025; Eligibility: You must turn or be 62 years of age during the calendar year 2025; you must be a Clay County resident & own your home; the home you are claiming must be your primary residentce, & you must be responsible for the property tax; How Can I Apply: Beginning in January, Citizens can go to Claycountymo.gov & click on the application, upload copies of the requested documents & sign the form or you can turn your application in person - see flyer for dates & locations

Safe Streets & Sidewalks Public Meeting @ Community Center - join us for a short presentation followed by an open house to go over the many projects within the Program. 10-minute presentation @ 5:00 and 6:00 followed by chance to review the project plans & discuss with project consultants.
City Council agenda items under development include 50 year easement for Hall of Waters, tabled ordinance to increase Water Franchise Fee, Agreement with Local 42, Budget & Personnel Policy Amendment, Transportation Trust Task Order for Summer Streetscape, agreement with ACOE for sewer lining & agreement with McClure regarding sewer lining; Trash Contract notice to extend for one, 3 year period, Planning & Zoning recommendations for R4 Medium Densitiy regulations text amendment. LCRA will consider termination of East Broadway Redevelopment Project.
