Good afternoon Lowes Island Leopards!

WOW!! We had an incredible start to the school year last week! I am so excited for this year of learning with our leopards!

Reminder: Students do not have school on Friday, August 30th and Monday, September 2nd.

We will be conducting our first set of drills this week.

On Monday, we will have our first fire drill and on Tuesday we will have our first lockdown drill.

You can view more information on the LCPS website linked here. There is a video regarding the lockdown drill at the bottom of the page.

Moving foward, we will not alert you of our fire drills but we will let you know when we plan to conduct our 2nd lockdown drill.

We are asking for parents and family members to wait until September to join their students for lunch. Our students need to learn the routines and procedures in the cafeteria without distractions. You may begin to join gyour student for lunch starting on September 9th. We appreciate your understanding!!

School starts on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Be sure to check here for the student calendar!

Line Soccer Scuffle

Welcome to the 2nd Annual LOW 5th Grade vs Teacher Line Soccer Scuffle Game! Please join us on Friday, September 13th at 6:30 pm in the main gym at Dominion High School. More information can be found in the flyer above.

Any 5th Grader who wants to play can join their house team to try and take down the teacher team! We are asking for all 5th graders who plan on playing to wear a yellow shirt and to be at Dominion High School by 5:45pm so that we can organize the teams and warm up. Parents are required to stay, for this FUNdraising event. We will also have an optional half-time shootout for all children to try to win a prize from our concession stand! Thank you, and we hope to see everyone there!

🐾 Hello Leopards! We truly hope the first two days of school were fun and exciting!

The PTO is already working hard planning fun events for our families.
But, as always, volunteers are crucial to our success.
Right now we have an immediate need for a LEAF rep and a Walking Wednesday chair. Without new volunteers, we can't do these programs. For more information click here.
