The 24th Annual Art Association of Madison County Student Exhibition at the Anderson Center for the Arts! Open to Freshman – Seniors attending a Madison County public or private school, homeschooled, or live in Madison County. Students do not have to be enrolled in an art class to enter. On Saturday, 43 students participated in 33 events at ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Festival at Yorktown High School. Students performed solos or in small ensembles of 3-9 players, each on a separate part, to receive a rating and feedback from an adjudicator.

Frankton Jr./Sr. High School completed the day with 15 Gold, 14 Silver, 3 Bronze, & 1 Participation. We also had 18 events participating in Group I, where they must choose their music from a select list of highly difficult pieces. To get a gold in Group I allows that student to go to State at the end of February. We have 8 solos and 1 small ensemble representing FJSHS at State Solo & Ensemble at North Central High School on Mar. 1st.

These students have put in a tremendous amount of work preparing for the weekend and achieved a high level of success.

EL students are about 75% of the way through the test. They will be taking the Speaking portion individually or in very small groups on Wednesdays until all have the opportunity to complete the assessment. Results will be returned at the end of April.
