Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP)
Congratulations to CHS GHP finalists:
Tianyu Liang – Engineering – Electrical and Computational
Erin Cook – Visual Arts
GHP is the longest continuous running governor’s programs in the nation. GHP provides rising high school juniors and seniors academic and artistic instruction that they would not typically receive in high school. This is a four-week residential program held on a Georgia college campus.
World Languages Honors Night
Cambridge World Languages Department recently held its annual Honors Night. Congratulations to these award winners and recognitions:
Star Student - Kit Kassay
Will receive an invitation to the GADOE celebration
International Skills Diploma Seal - 20 students awarded
Recipients received a purple graduation cord and a diploma seal
Seal of Biliteracy - 15 students awarded (Greek, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish, Telugu, Turkish)
Recipients received a green graduation cord and a diploma seal
Advanced WL Pathway Completion (4 years in HS classroom) - 28 students awarded
Recipients received a green, blue, and gold graduation double-cord
National French Honor Society - 24 students awarded

Bell Schedule Change - Wednesday
Due to our Student VIP Celebration, we will have an altered bell schedule on Wednesday, March 26. B2 (advisement) will be at the beginning of the day, starting at 8:20 am, and the first period begins at 8:55 pm. Graduation Package Pickup - Thursday, March 27
Graduation Packages
All seniors should plan to pick up their graduation package, which includes a cap and gown, stole, cap, and tassel, tomorrow, Thursday, March 27, during the 4th and 5th periods in the cafeteria. Please inspect your package carefully to ensure you have all these pieces. Seniors will need to know their Grad ID to pick up their package. Look up your Grad ID at the link below.
Please note that this ID will also be used to pick up your tickets at graduation rehearsal and will be the order in which you walk the stage.
Honor Cords
Seniors who qualify for an Honor Cord and pay by March 24 will have their Honor Cord included in their Graduation Package. For more information and to see if your senior qualifies, please see the article below in the Senior section or visit Regalia and Diploma Seals.
Note: seniors who earned other academic or service cords will receive these cords from the teacher or sponsor for that group.
Prom Reminders and Update
Reminder:
- If you are bringing a guest to prom, an approved Student Guest Form is required. Forms are due Wednesday, March 26. For more information and to download a form, visit Student Activities.

- There is a 300-space parking lot on the ballroom's grounds, and parking is free. To view the venue map and directions to the venue, visit The Ballroom at Carlos Center.
CAA Scholarship
The Cambridge Athletic Association (“CAA”) is very pleased to announce our Annual College Scholarship program, offering one $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is made possible by the generous contributions of CAA Members and Sponsors. It is designed to recognize outstanding CHS senior student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and character on the playing field, in the classroom, and in the school and/or community. The scholarship is available to any senior who participates on a Cambridge athletic team during the current school year and meets the Minimum Criteria listed on www.cambridgebears.com. The deadline for applications is March 27, 2025, and the scholarship winner will be recognized at Honors Night.

Dual Enrollment Resources and Deadlines
Deadline to apply
The deadline to apply for Summer and Fall terms for Dual Enrollment is March 31, 2025. There are no exceptions.

Summer Dual Enrollment
Students interested in taking summer dual enrollment classes in Georgia (Auburn First excluded) will need to submit their FCS Dual Enrollment Contract and funding application in GAFutures. Class registration opens soon, and this information is needed to approve class funding.

Important Parking Information
Cambridge Students are not allowed to park at any of the neighboring parking lots or streets. This includes Milton Police & Fire Departments, Publix shopping center, and nearby neighborhoods. Parking on campus, for Seniors and select Juniors, is ONLY available with a permit. Students are NOT permitted to park in the lot in front of the building as faculty/staff, visitors, and substitute teachers have reserved parking spaces in that area. Towing a vehicle parked without permission will be at the discretion of the property owner.
Seniors
Class of 2025 Dates to Remember
- Cap and Gown distribution is set for Thursday, March 27, during both lunches in the cafeteria. Prepaid Honor Cords will also be distributed. Please ensure you received all items in the package: gown, stole, cap, and tassel.
- We will hold a senior parent meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, in the Cambridge Theater.
- The last day for Seniors is Friday, May 16.
- The Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Dinner are Friday, May 16, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Seniors will receive their tickets after the rehearsal.
- The Class of 2025 Baccalaureate (parent-sponsored event) will be held at Stonecreek Church on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 4:00 pm. For more information.
- The Cambridge High School Class of 2025 will graduate at Ameris Bank Amphitheater on Monday, May 19, at 2:00 pm.

Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Dinner
Mark your calendars for the Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Dinner. The rehearsal is an important and mandatory informational session where instructions on where to go and what to expect at graduation will be reviewed. Graduation tickets will be distributed after the meeting in the theater, and dinner will be held in the cafeteria.

College and Scholarships
Delta Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Scholarship
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity offers ten scholarships of $5,000 each to deserving African American male high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited 4-year college/university. Other eligibility criteria include:
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale or equivalent)
- Demonstrate financial need
- A U.S. citizen who is a resident of metro Atlanta
All eligible candidates must complete an application, which includes a short essay. The application deadline is April 30, 2025.

American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Scholarships
American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 201 has two scholarships available this year to qualified applicants. The scholarships are $1,000 each, and applications are due by April 15, 2025. For more information and to apply, view the guidelines in the attachment below.

The Georgia Student Finance Commission is pleased to partner with the University System of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia, and private colleges and universities in Georgia to provide another round of application fee waivers.
