Principal's Update
Principal Stratton's Staff Update: October 27, 2024
Words from Wendy
Dear Gunn Families,
We had a fantastic week for all Titans—students, staff, and our wider community! Homecoming 2024 was packed with unforgettable moments that brought our Titan spirit to life, and we’re so grateful for the incredible energy and support from every corner of our community.
Our football team continued its undefeated season with a thrilling Homecoming victory against MacDonald High School! We were also delighted to welcome back many Gunn alums who joined us for halftime events. The excitement continued with our spirited cheerleaders and the Homecoming court, who regaled everyone in attendance. From the laughter and cheers at our night rally to the show of unity in class competitions, themed outfits, and the highly anticipated Night Rally dances, our Titans brought enthusiasm and pride to every moment!
We are immensely grateful to our outstanding Student Activities Director, Lisa Hall, and her amazing SEC students for coordinating a smooth and memorable week for all. Special thanks to the teacher participants and parent volunteers, whose dedication ensured each event was a success. Their support helped create the positive and welcoming environment we love to see at Gunn.
Go Titans! 🖤❤️
With gratitude,
Dr. Stratton

Girls' Golf
A note from Girls' Golf Coach Chris Redfield:
We played our last regular season SCVAL match today at Baylands and celebrated our 3 seniors stalwarts, Namya Kasturi, Kira Kuartei, and Tiffany Zhao (see photo below). Our 4th senior, Charlotte Qian, did not play today.
The entire team played well and we won 212 - 249 against Los Altos. We finished the SCVAL season with a 9-3 record which puts us 2nd (or tied for 2nd). Monta Vista won the league 12-0.
Kira Kuartei was medalist today with a 40 ( 3-over par).

The Woman of the Year Selection Committee has announced the national Top 30 honorees for the 2024 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

Each honoree has demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, community service, and leadership. The honorees represent 15 sports, including three student-athletes representing NCAA Emerging Sports for Women.
