Looking for a fun, easy summer read? This book recounts the birth, rise, reign, and now shaky foothold of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You'll learn about the studio's pre-Iron Man origins, tons of fun trivia about how the movies got developed, and what has led to a series of negative reviews in recent years. The MCU is currently scaling back on its planned releases - so catch up on its history before you see any new movies or shows! We have 1 copy in the library available for check-out :)

I am in my historical fiction era! Another spinoff of one of my favorite books, Little Women, March focuses on Dad, Mr. March. Brooks generously paints a picture of the not so famous dad of the most famous sisters. March is fiercely dedicated to his country, his faith and his family. His time serving in the Civil War is wrought with suffering: physical, emotional and ideological. He finds himself torn between leaning on his beloved wife for comfort and support while shielding his family from the horrors of his day to day challenges. He ultimately suffers a near fatal injury making for a bittersweet homecoming. If you liked Little Women, you will enjoy leaning into the trials of Mr. March!
