Notes From the Office
What started off as a long weekend, turned into a very short week of school! I hope everyone stayed safe and enjoyed the snowy weather. I tried to stay snuggled under a blanket as much as possible and had the time to enjoy crocheting and reading.
For those of you who follow the Edwardsburg Public Schools Facebook page, thank you for sharing my Snow Day Challenge video and thank you to those who participated! I had close to one hundred students complete my challenge and we had short celebrations to recognize the students who completed the challenge.
I asked the students if I should do a future snow day challenge and they replied, "YES", immediately. Some ideas they had for a challenge were:
- Making snow angels in the yard
- Building the biggest snowman
- Doing something kind for someone
- Writing a story
- Making their own math problems and solving them, and
- Cleaning their bedrooms
If you need your child to clean their room and you think I'd be a motivator, for a small fee I can record personalized messages (Just kidding).
Have a great weekend!

Family Reading Night
The Primary was able to have one of our two scheduled Family Reading Nights! We have scheduled a makeup date for the students with the last name starting A through M. The new date is Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 6PM. A new form will be sent home on Monday.
Pirates in the Primary
Ms. Waggoner's classroom was filled with pirates today. The students did fun learning activities as pirates.
Bond Discussion and Community Forum
Please consider joining the district for a community forum to discuss the options for a Zero Millage Bond Proposal. The Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Szucs would like input for our community on the options available.

EPS Foundation
The Edwardsburg Public Schools Foundation is doing a family night at Strikes and Spares on February 1, 2024. The event will be closed to the public.
You can purchase wristbands for $25/person, OR a family pack for $60/4 people. With your purchase you get: 3 hours access to bowling, attractions, and unlimited pop. This event DOES NOT INCLUDE arcade games and food. These will be available for you, but not included in the price of a wristband.
Wristbands MUST be worn in order to enter the facility. We will have wristband pickup days towards the end of January.
LABEL YOUR CHILD'S COAT, SNOWPANTS, HAT & GLOVES
I can never say this enough times! Please label all of your child's outerwear. We have approximately 100 pairs of the same black snowpants and without names, we do not know who they belong to. The same goes for boots. Thank you in advance! This helps us connect missing items to the correct students!
Weather Outwear Guidance
Cold weather is here, and it is going to get snowy soon enough. We do have a small supply of items that students can borrow, but not enough if a lot of students do not have the proper outdoor clothing. I have attached some guidance to help you understand the expectations for being outdoors at school.
