A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SHS Parents, Students, and Staff,
Get ready for the final stretch, SHS! This week has been a whirlwind of exciting events as we gear up for the end of the school year. On Monday, the Spring Band and Choir Concert filled the auditorium with beautiful melodies. Tuesday and Thursday were filled with cheers and laughter as our Pre-K-4th graders and 5th-8th graders enjoyed their respective Field Days. The 6th and 7th grades kicked off our field trip season with an exploration of the Camden Aquarium. With only 4 weeks remaining (3 weeks for our 8th graders), the 2023-2024 school year is racing towards the finish line. Stay tuned and read below for exciting announcements about upcoming end-of-year activities and celebrations!
Many Blessings,
Mrs. Joanna Barlow
Principal

From the acting and direction to stunning sets, lighting, and sound design, the entire production showcased the dedication and creativity of our drama program.
A big round of applause goes to:
Mr. Burke, Director: Thank you for guiding our student actors and bringing the story to life.
Mrs. Wojtko, Assistant Director: Your support and expertise were invaluable.
Mr. Mays: Thank you for creating the magic behind the scenes with your technical mastery.
Mrs. Fortin, Mrs. Scafiro, and Mrs. Sandman: Your organization and hard work ensured smooth operations for the concession stand.
Mrs. Burke and the Burke Family: Thank you for your behind the scenes support of our program.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the parents and the SHS community for being our guests this weekend! Your enthusiastic presence made the production even more special.
FIELD DAY
This week Sacred Hearts Students unleashed their inner athletes at our annual Field Days. The energy was electric as students participated in a variety of exciting activities. They sprinted in races, soared through jumps, launched throws, balanced beanbags, and kicked their way to victory. Whether hopping in the sack race or cheering on their classmates, the excitement was palpable each day.
A huge thank you goes out to:
Mr. Goehringer for organizing and overseeing the events.
The PTA for providing refreshing icy treats that hit the spot after all that activity.
All of our station moderators. We could not have done it without you!
In the end, everyone truly enjoyed a day of friendly competition and celebrating good sportsmanship.
SPRING CONCERT
The SHS Spring Concert this past Monday was a delightful display of musical talent. The choir and band captivated the audience of parents, friends, and loved ones with their performance. It is clear the students have mastered a wide range of music, and their hard work, along with the dedication of Mrs. Blair and Mr. Wooden, truly paid off.

CAR LINE SAFETY INFORMATION
Over the past few weeks, we have seen some reckless driving during drop off and pick up. In an effort to keep everyone safe, please read below and refresh yourselves with our drop off and pick up procedures.
CAR LINE TIPS ON ARRIVAL
Form 2 lanes. The right lane is for grades K-8, the left lane is for our Pre-K students. Families with students in both PreK and K-8 should stay in the right lane.
When arriving you will be greeted by Father John and myself. Please wait your turn in the car lanes. Once in the drop off area, have your child exit the car. K-8 students will be dropped off in front of the main gym doors. Pre-K will circle around and be dropped off in front of the church. Pre-K Parents please make sure to pull up to the Student Drop Off Ends Here sign so other cars can move in behind you. Our staff on duty will assist in making sure your children arrive safely to their classrooms.
Once you have dropped off your child/children please do not cut out of lane instead wait until the car in front of you moves to exit the campus. When exiting please be mindful that cars may turn in front of you to drop off at preschool or to exit the campus.
CAR LINE TIPS FOR PICK-UP
Form 2 lanes. In the interest of safety for your child/children and others:
Children will not be permitted to enter a car until the car is in front of the auditorium. Please pull all the way up to the "Drop off ends here" sign even if your child is standing in another place.
If one of the car lanes is moving, children must wait until the cars stop moving before going to their car. If you must exit your car to buckle seat belts, we ask that you use the lane closest to the auditorium. Please pick up your child as quickly as possible, being mindful of the extremely long line behind you. We are discouraged from blocking Clifton Avenue.
AM Care and EDP
Morning Care (6:30am-7:30am) and Extended Day Program (EDP) is available. If you are interested in either of these programs, please be sure to visit the website to get all the information you need. This is also where you can register your child for the programs.
