*Parents are not allowed on campus during Shutdown days due to testing in the other grade levels.
** Early Dismissal is at 12:30. Due to the early dismissal our lunch will be at a different time (usually around 10:15) on these days.
Please make sure your child comes prepared for school every day. This means that they have a signed blue folder brought to school with them every day. They also need to have their library books so that they can read them in class. They are getting ready to become second graders and need to learn how to be responsible. Also, students begin coming into the classroom at 7:45 a.m. Announcements begin at 7:50 and we begin class promptly at 8:00. If your student is arriving to school at 8:00, they are missing out on the beginning of our day while they are getting unpacked and ready to join us.
Spring Carnival
Our class will be partnered with Ms. Bradford's class to collect items for a basket in the silent auction. We will be collecting items for a beauty themed basket! Included in our basket will be a gift card for Snip-Its and Lash. If you can donate any items for the basket, please send them to school with your student by Friday, March 13th! Think nice hair care products such as shampoos, brushes, combs, hair accessories, etc. I believe our room moms are working on a sign-up genius page to help make sure we get a good selection for the basket. As soon as I get information on that, I will forward it to you.
Also, we are in need of volunteers for the carnival! If you are able to volunteer any of your time, please e-mail Samhita Shah at samhitashah@gmail.com.
The kids always enjoy the carnival. Without parent support, it is not possible, so thank you in advance!
