Our Week at Reutter School
Week of November 11, 2024
Principal's Message
Reutter School Families:
As we near the week of November 11, I would like to take a moment to share some important updates and reminders. Please be advised that school will be closed on November 7 and 8.
Over the past couple of weeks, I would like to thank you for your remarkable generosity. Your contributions, from the abundant donations of candy and supplies that enhanced our Halloween festivities to the essential food items provided for the Counselor Helpers’ Annual Holiday Food Drive, are greatly appreciated. The food drive will continue to accept donations until Friday, November 15, so there is still ample opportunity to contribute.
I would also like to acknowledge our students who received the RAM Ready Recognition for October. These students successfully completed both 10 iReady Math and ELA Individual Learning Path lessons, demonstrating their dedication and readiness for academic achievement. Their accomplishments were celebrated with a fun candy bar BINGO event, which I had the pleasure of leading on Tuesday morning. Congratulations to these hardworking students!
Additionally, you should have received communication from your child's major subject teachers regarding the upcoming fall parent-teacher conferences. If you have not yet heard from them, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to any teacher you wish to meet with. Our Related Arts Teachers have also scheduled a virtual conference evening for November 26, providing further opportunities for productive family-teacher connections.
As we approach Veterans Day on November 11, let us collectively extend our gratitude to all veterans for their service and sacrifice. I wish all our Reutter families a restful and enjoyable fall break, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready to learn.
Warm regards,
Mr. Theodore Peters
Principal
Reutter School
School will be CLOSED on November 7 & 8.
Governor Educator of the Year program (GEOY) 24-25
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) strives to recognize educators who have gone above and beyond in their service to New Jersey’s students. Now, more than ever is the time to celebrate New Jersey’s outstanding educators. Therefore, Franklin Township Schools will participate in the Governor’s Educator of the Year (GEOY) program to honor the hardworking teachers and educational services professionals for their dedication to students and the profession. This program promotes a culture that celebrates excellence and brings public attention to the work of outstanding educators.
As such, do you know a teacher OR educational services professional who is dedicated, inspiring, and making a difference? As outlined through the Governor's Educator of the Year program, the Township of Franklin Public School District would like to recognize one teacher from each school, as well as one educational service professional from the district, as a recipient of a 2024-2025 "Educator of the Year" award.
Please take a moment to fill out your Governor’s Educator of the Year recommendation using the link below. The response form will be open from 10/28/24 to 11/15/24.
