School Site Council Meeting

Reminder: Peak Prep is considering partnering with the school district and becoming a dependent charter school. CAASPP

For the 2022 spring administration of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) for English language arts (ELA), Mathematics, and Science (CAST), students will be able to take their assigned tests remotely. Our priority is to keep our students and educators safe by following state, county, and local health and safety requirements associated with the current pandemic. Our faculty will be reaching out to students this week to schedule them for their testing sessions. Testing will occur over several days.

Re-Enrollment

This year our re-enrollment process will be done within our PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please follow the instructions below to log into PowerSchool to indicate if your student(s) will be returning. It is important to note that current students are not automatically re-enrolled for the fall. We do need confirmation that you are accepting your spot in Peak Prep (via the PowerSchool re-enrollment form only) and a completed master agreement, and updated proof of residency.

I am a girl who is a poet-writer

Writing of my feelings.

I am a girl sitting next to you

I am your daughter

I am your little sister

Little sister but taller than you (lol)

I am not just an ordinary girl

As you might think

I am a girl who is raised by

A beautiful mother

Who is strong and is

A lion when it comes to protecting her kids.

I am a girl who is raised well

Because of how my mom raised us

When we were small

She taught me and my sister

How to pray since we were small

And a mom who taught us to have manners,

A mom who always gives us advice,

A mom who I can trust,

A mom who is always there for her kids 24/7

A mom who ALWAYS fights for her kids

A mom who is there at every event we have

Because of her I have a purpose

She deserves all the awards I have gotten

THE STUDENT SHALL:

✓ 1. Attend school daily (M-F)

✓ 2. Log in daily prior to 11 am.

✓ 3. Submit work daily (as well as on time).

✓ 2. Attend each synchronous lesson on time.

✓ 3. Abide by the terms of the master agreement.

✓ 4. Report to the teacher, counselor, or administrator as directed

✓ 5. Attend each intervention/testing session with the teacher on time

✓1. Maintain an awareness of their legal obligations to see that their child

• (a) attends school DAILY
• (b) logs in and submits work daily prior to 11 am
• (c) spends 4-6 hours per day engaged in educational activities provided by the school.

✓ 2. Attend all meetings and conferences concerning their child.

✓ 3. Contact appropriate school personnel to discuss academic concerns.

✓ 4. Contact school regarding absences.

✓ 5. Ensure all work is submitted correctly through the LMS and on time.

✓ 6. Sign all learning logs each Friday afternoon.

Please be aware that all communications generally receive a reply from school staff within 24 hours (not including holidays or weekends). Although the online system is typically available 24/7, our staff members are available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

Each Friday, your Homeroom teacher will send the parent/guardian a Learning Log via Dochub. The learning log is a record that the parent/guardian will sign and initial certifying that the student listed above has "engaged in [required] educational activities" on each day that they have initialed.

Please take a minute to initial, sign, and finalized your student's learning log every Friday afternoon.

Each student at Peak Prep has been assigned a homeroom teacher. Your homeroom teacher will be your primary point of communication for support.
