A Message from Your Pastor
Running out of wine. It doesn't matter what century we live in, it's just something we never want to happen. It was the same at the Wedding Feast of Cana. Wine symbolizes abundance, celebration, labor and sacrifice, human creativity, and divine providence.
The Week Ahead at St. Mary Parish
St. Mary Parish News ⛪
Night to Shine
We are excited to co-host Night to Shine again this year with the Chardon United Methodist Church on Friday, February 7th. Volunteers may use the link included to register to help and indicate where you would like to serve. Visit www.stmaryschoolchardon.org/night-to-shine for all of the needed links and information.
Guests are limited to 80 for the night. Though we continue to work on an online registration for our guests, there are still some technical issues. Guests will need to download and fill out paper forms and either mail back, scan and email back to maureenintihar@gmail.com, or drop off at either St. Mary Chardon or Chardon United Methodist churches. We are sorry about the inconvenience.
St. Mary's Men's Retreat
The clock is already ticking in the New Year and I don't want you to miss the Men's Retreat on Saturday, February 22nd at St. Mary, Chardon. The theme: "The Sacraments -- Gifts of Grace!" Join other men, adults and teens, for our day of retreat starting with Mass at 8:00 am and ending at 2:30 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided. A free-will offering of $15 is suggested. What a great way to focus on our spiritual growth in the new year! To register, email: garyWburling@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!
Fullness of Life
Please join Catholic Life Coach Jen Fakult for a Fullness of Life Information Session at St. Mary's Chardon. One session will be offered on Tuesday, February 11th at 6:30 PM and another offered on Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 PM; both sessions will be in the ABC Room. The information session is an introduction to the Fullness of Life coaching protocol, which consists of tapping into all the graces, inspirations, and means that God has given us to become saints.
After attending an information session, you may wish to participate in the Fullness of Life Recollection Day at St. Mary's Chardon on March 15th, beginning at 11:30 AM and ending approximately 3:00 PM. The day will include small and large group reflections based on two exercises that participants should complete prior to the event. The afternoon will end with a period of individual prayer and the opportunity for Confession. This day could be just what you need to prepare for the season of Lent and discern how God is calling you to grow in holiness and find fullness of life in Christ.
Viking Quest 2025
All school families, alumni, family, friends and parishioners are invited to join us in support of St. Mary School as we raise funds to upgrade school facilities, support teacher initiatives, and provide unique enrichment opportunities for students. Viking Quest 2025 is being held on Saturday, February 8th.
This year's Fund-A-Need will support improvements to the school library, including new furniture, books, and more. Our Distinguished Viking this year will be awarded to Christine Zalar for her exceptional philanthropic leadership. Every time God has called upon Christine to selflessly give of herself, she has answered Him by giving generously and without hesitation.
Not able to join us? You can show your support by making a donation or sponsoring the event! Learn more at www.stmaryschoolchardon.org/viking-quest. Or, contact Kelly McCloskey (kmccloskey@stmarychardon.or) or Kimberly O’Keeffe (kokeeffe@stmaryschoolchardon.org).
