Arctic Light January Newsletter
January 15, 2024
Arctic Light Families,
We are officially in the 2nd semester! We have a lot of work to do and I'm looking forward to the progress we will make as we move forward toward spring. Our One School One Book program is up and running and all students are reading Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. The reading schedule is attached here and we will complete the book at the end of February, culminating in a big Title One celebration on February 29th. We hope you will enjoy this school wide event with us!
January can be long and difficult, but the light is returning and we have a lot to look forward to! Please remember to stay warm and send your students with the appropriate gear every day. We will continue to go outside for recess for 30 minutes every day until -20 F.
Our new weekly podcast for all things Arctic Light is available on these platforms:
Please reach out if there's anything we can do to support your family at Arctic Light.

Drop Off and Parking at Arctic Light
Please remember to follow our traffic pattern in the parking lot to keep our kids safe. We have noticed a lot of vehicles not trying to go the wrong way. This is a recipe for disaster when vehicles are exiting and people are walking through the parking lot. We have added some cones to make it as clear as possible, but please take a few extra minutes and follow the traffic pattern to avoid any unnecessary accidents.
