As I mentioned in my Christmas letter, I have been playing catch-up with visits due to the high demands of the office (I still laugh when I think how I explicitly said on my call papers that I am not a techy person....yet here we are!). I beg your forgiveness and encourage grace as we continue on with the holy-days. If you wish to have a visit, please give me a call! I look forward to the time after Epiphany (sadly, this year is a short season as Lent comes fast) to try get to know more of you. Continue to pray for an end to this pandemic and join me daily at noon and 6pm in prayer.
While our Bishops continue to encourage people to fast from Holy Communion, and I believe that is wise, the Communion offered here is for those who desire the Sacrament. Keep in mind that partaking or not partaking does not make one holier or less holy. Jesus Christ was given to us freely as such we take as beggars (not worthy) within our own free conscience. In other words, the Sacrament is given for you in order to nourish your faith. It is not a way to feel "holier than thou" for indeed, that would be an abomination of the Sacrament.
