Hello Cleveland families,
Thank you to the many Cleveland families who joined us at Eagle Night this week! We are so thankful for the opportunity to welcome you into the community, enjoy a meal together, and partner together to support your student's thriving. So many of you continue to reach out with offers of support, including all of you who are supporting Homecoming tomorrow night! Whether you're bringing food or volunteering your time, your support ensures our students have a fun and safe Homecoming experience and is deeply appreciated.

Important Info to Know
From Cleveland's PTSA: become a PTSA member!
Did you know that your PTSA membership does not renew every school year? It has to be renewed yearly.
Please click here to renew your membership!
Payment for membership is not required! Anyone in the community can be a PTSA member: students, teachers & staff, parents & guardians, relatives, and any other community member. Without your membership, the PTSA cannot function.
The PTSA is still in need of a Vice President. The Vice President opportunity can be shared with two people. We also are need of committee volunteers.
Advocating Chair & Members
- Relaying helpful information to members
- Seek out resources to help the community
- Partner with other school PTSAs for collaboration
- Become a voice at Seattle Public School meetings if needed
- Work with communication committee for social media posting etc

- Coordinate and plan fundraisers for general PTSA funds

CHS PTSA is having a fundraiser at Jollibee (3820 Rainier Ave S, Seattle) on Saturday Oct 19th from 10am to 10pm! 20% of sales are donated back. Click here for more details.

Discover U Week is 10/21 - 10/25!
Discover U week is happening at Cleveland HS Oct 21-25th! During this week, we focus as a school community on connecting all students with post-secondary opportunities. We have activities in Advisory class all week and two major events:
- Community Service Learning Fair (Oct 22 -during lunch in main hallway)
- All School College Fair (Oct 23-altered bell schedule)
Complete Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefits Form
School meals, both breakfast and lunch, are provided at Cleveland STEM High School at no cost for this school year. We are asking all families at CHS complete a Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefits Form on the district website to be eligible for the benefits listed below.
Students approved for free school meals may be eligible to receive reduced fees for the following programs:

Group Counseling Options at Cleveland/ Parental Guardians Interest Survey 24-25
Are you interested in your child joining free and confidential counseling groups this semester? Cleveland is offering several different groups which will take place on a rotating schedule during the school day. Filling out this referral form does not guarantee a spot in a group. The results of this survey are confidential and only read by a school counselor or social worker. Please fill out this interest form to see what group options are available.

Picture retakes on October 16th
Our picture retake day will take place on October 16th from 10:00 - 2:00 pm in Room 1201. Students who were not here for picture day can stop by to get their picture taken.
