Learning Partnership Day
Term 1 2025 starts with a Learning Partnership Day, allowing you to meet one-on-one with your child's teacher.
The purpose of this hui is for you to talk about your child so that your child’s teacher has a better understanding of who they are and can design learning based on this information, e.g their interests, strengths, needs, passions, how they best learn, their life beyond school and any family matters that we need to be aware of.
It is also a great opportunity for you to develop an all-important partnership with your child's teacher by being on the same page right from day one of the new school year.
Booking a Learning Partnership Day Time
You can book a time to meet with your child’s class teacher by:
Step 1 - Go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz
Step 2 - Enter the code fhe8e
Step 3 - Enter personal details
Step 4 - Select 1 x time per child per teacher
Step 5 - Submit and you will receive a confirmation email
Each booking is for a 10-minute meeting; for multiple bookings, we suggest you leave a gap between each child.
Before and after the Learning Partnership Meeting you can take your child/children home. School is not open for instruction on this day.
Please note that tamariki do not need to wear their uniform on this day!
School Starts 8:40am Tuesday 4th February.

2025 Summer Sports
Summer Sport Registration Now Open!
We’re excited to announce that registrations for summer sports in Term 1 are now open on our school shop
We understand that this time of year can be financially challenging for families. That’s why we’ve extended the registration period until the last week of January, giving you plenty of time to sign up.
To make it easier, we recommend adding a small amount to your Kindo account each week. By late January, you’ll be ready to register without facing a large payment all at once.
We’d hate for any child to miss out on the chance to play. If money is an issue, please don’t hesitate to contact Kirsten to arrange an ongoing payment plan.
Thank you for supporting our school sports program—we look forward to another active and fun year of sport in 2025.
Registrations close on Monday 27th January 2025
Any late registrations will incur a late fee.

Please include your child’s name, team and room number and reason for absence.
If your child arrives at school after 8.40am they are late. Please ensure they sign in at the office before going to class. Thank you.
As part of our School-Links communication system, an automated text message will go out to all unexplained absences. This number is a reply once only.
While we understand that families sometimes need to take time away from school, it is essential that we as a school are notified.
Any absence longer than 20 school days will need to be approved in advance by the school principal. You can do this by sending an email to papamoaprimary@papamoa.school.nz explaining the reason for your child's absence and the dates they will be away. If your child is absent for longer than 20 school days the MOE instructs us to remove a child from our school roll. If you live outside of our school zone there is no guarantee that your child will be able to re-enrol at Pāpāmoa Primary School. It's important to keep communication open between us. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in your child's education.
