Important Notes from the School Nurse
1. Year End Information
MEDICATIONS: If your child has medication here at school, especially prescription medication, please make arrangements to pick up the medicine before the school year ends. We cannot send home medication with your child at the end of the school year. Any medication that is left in the clinic over the summer will be destroyed.
If your child will need prescription medication for the 2025-2026 school year, please feel free to pick up a "Request for Administration of Medication by School Personnel" form at the office or download from the PLSD website @ www.pickerington.k12.oh.us
2.) Health Concerns
In thinking ahead to next school year, please be sure to alert the school nurse, before the first day of school, regarding any significant changes in your child’s health or medical needs.
Be sure to also note this information in the Emergency Medical Authorization area of the Online Registration that is accessed through the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus.

Any health concerns noted this school year, will be shared with your child’s school nurse for next school year, but it is still a good idea to reach out to the school nurse so she is notified from the parent as well.
Lost and Not Yet Found
Is your student missing their favorite jacket, one glove or hat? Please have them check the Lost and "Not Yet Found" in the cafeteria. Items are located on the stage steps. Anything left after May 23 will be donated to charity.
School News Throughout the Summer
Parents, please be sure to watch the PLSD website for Back-to-school information throughout the summer https://www.pickerington.k12.oh.us/
Important Safety Reminder: Protecting Students from Risky TikTok Trends
Parents, please be aware of a concerning TikTok trend impacting students in some school districts. While we have no confirmed cases in PLSD, we believe it’s important to proactively address student safety.
Device Tampering: Students have attempted to short-circuit their Chromebook USB ports using small objects—this poses a serious fire risk.
Electrical Hazards: Wall outlets can also be dangerous if students insert foreign objects into them.
Consequences: Engaging in these activities can lead to suspension or expulsion and even criminal charges like vandalism or arson.
Here is a video showing what can happen.
How You Can Help: Have an age-appropriate conversation with your child about responsible technology use and the dangers of unsafe online trends.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping students safe!
