April Character Trait of the month is Gentleness
This month's character trait is gentleness. Kimber in 3rd grade said, “Gentleness is being kind, having gentle words, and replying with those words when someone is mean to you.” Mayme in 6th grade said, ”If someone is being mean to you just to stay calm and to not use harsh words.” Kaylana in 8th grade said, ”Gentleness is the way that God treats us, and the way we should treat others.”
In Philippians 4:5 it says “Let your gentleness be evident to all.” By using gentle words, we can make friends, not enemies. --Emma
Survey Says:
This week's survey says question was, “Would you rather give someone a fist bump or a high five?” With an ending score of 29 to 50, high fives won. Did you know that the 3rd Thursday in April is High Five Day? High fives began on October 2, 1977 when Dusty Baker and Glenn Burke of the Los Angeles Dodgers gave each other a high five. --Vivian

2nd Grade Service Project
CCA Second grade students traveled to the Benson Center on Monday, April 15th, to clean the playground and pick up trash. This was a service project for students. Connecting with creation and being reminded of God's goodness is a powerful way to motivate ourselves to care for what the Lord has blessed our community with. Thank you 2nd grade for serving our community.
